Nice fly Barry and I like the use of a dubbing loop for the body. Could you give me your source for the coarse Poly yarn? It doesn't look like the Wapsi polypropylene floating yarn, or the Tiemco Aero Dry wing.
Cool pattern Barry. I looked up the fly and the bird, very interesting, so were the fishing methods. It reminded me of fishing the Usual. The author in the Swedish magazine said there's misconceptions about poly yarn's floatabilility and you should treat the fly with floatant, do you treat this pattern? Now that yarn you have is beautifully multicolored, is it from a fabric/sewing store? It almost looks like macremae yarn? I've some poly in black and white, maybe grey too, so I'll try with that. I have tons of other yarns that I could use and should be playing with anyway, that's half the fun of fly tying right? Thanks Barry, you're like the encyclopedia Britannica of fly tying, you fuel my imagination. 👍

Hi Barry where did you get your material any info would be great thanks Mark
Hi Mark, I actually got it from the late Kenneth Bostrøm who in invented this pattern. I'm not sure where you can get hold of it now!
@@Thefeatherbender thanks for the reply
