It's a dream come true to see my favourite band,my biggest passion and love in life,going to Eurovision!🩸🖤✨️Thank you so much for your lovely reaction!🫶So many of us Losties have been working so hard and sacrificed everything for winning this national final of Germany TOGETHER - and this is what makes it special: This wonderful band and their fans are ONE,united by being kindred spirits and sharing the same passion for something that is so much more to us than just "music". LORD OF THE LOST are together as a band since 2009,so they're already an experienced live band who played countless festivals and tours all over the world,and they originally emerged from the German Gothic- and Metal-scene!🖤✨️ Even the metal legends IRON MAIDEN chose LOTL to go on tour together with them,which is another proof for the thrilling quality the guys deliver - and this year they were chosen to go on tour with Iron Maiden again! Lord of the Lost's genre can't be described with words,as they have always been known for reinventing themselves on every new album - but their magical soundscapes often include Dark Rock and Dark Metal,Synth,80's vibes,Goth and a flamboyant Glam attitude! They're able to set heaviness and catchiness to music,but at times emphasize melancholy and emotive depth a lot. Singer Chris Harms is known for his outstanding vocal range that enables him to deliver both haunting clean vocals AND obliterating growls,and you would be mesmerized to see the variety in all of their songs! Beyond that,Lord of the Lost have always said that EMPATHY is their religion - this is why the guys always speak up against grievances in society and helped people in need countless times. Just recently they took a stupid hate comment from someone who wanted to spread negativity online,and printed it on a new merchandise collection - and you know what? All money they earn with this collection will be donated to an organization that works on the reforestation of the rain forest! These five guys are just the most lovely,humble and caring human beings,and they deserve ANY success in this world and all love they can get from the Eurovision fans!💕✨️ "Blood & Glitter" is an irresistibly catchy anthem of life and equality,telling us to embrace the contrasts within ourselves rather than denying who we are,and emphasizing that unity should be our purpose instead of hate and seclusion: "We are all from the same blood". Now we as the Losties will give our hearts and souls to achieve a great Eurovision result together with them,and I'm sure outstandingly creative musicians like them deserve the TOP 10 - especially because they will enhance the staging once more for Liverpool! Their music might be dark and enigmatic,but the message behind all of this is pure love - I'd absolutely recommend you to listen to other of their songs such as "Morgana", "Raining Stars", "On This Rock I Will Build My Church", "Black Halo" and "Priest",as they usually blow away all people who delve into their back catalogue. Germany could compete with Rammstein, they will still come last. Why, I can't say. They have tried ballads, they have tried emotional songs, they have tried well-known performers and now once something more daring and harder. Maybe it's a political thing or the jury is just unfit. Btw I thought Finland was much better than Loreen. Nothing against the Swede, but the better song didn't win and the listeners inside and outside were once again not noticed. I think the whole concept has to be adapted to today's time and the people out there should get more influence.
I absolutely adore this band, they have a huge international fanbase. I voted for them because I wanted them to go to Liverpool so bad. This song is on the softer side of what they do, but I think it is perfect for Eurovision. Thank you for your wonderful reaction. Being an German ESC enthusiast I could not be more proud of our Bois. They represent us so well. LOTL is a grown Band and they paid their dues. They know how to rock a big stage. Basically Germany is a Rock and Metal country. We are headbangers. There is so much more to our Metalscene than Rammstein. I can recommend Electric Callboy, Powerwolf, Beyond the Black, the German mother of Punk Nina Hagen. She did some masterpieces together with Apocalyptica from Finnland. Her voice is outstanding. She is a classical trained Opera singer with a voice range of 8 (yes!!) octaves. Fury in the slaughterhouse, Saltatio Mortis, OompH!, Feuerschwanz, Blind Guardian. Just to name a few.
Sorry but the austrialian song is pop with a little bit of rock elements, so they can't be compared to Lord of the lost who are a metall band. Also blood and Glitter is better than the austrialian song

The lyrics remind me a lot of Ville Valo and HIM. I love the singer´s dark and versatile voice. I would absolutely prefer if he would sing in german.
