About his passion...about his dreams...about his work life. He is really an inspiring young man. He worked hard even he was still 13yo to emphasize & bright his passion. Not only about his career. PS: I highly recommend to see this movie...it's two thumbs up kind of movie.

From what I understand, not a biography, but just a character very similar to how he is. Like you say, he works very hard, and he is very persistent. Apparently when they were looking for who should play this role in this movie, they asked a lot of people in the street dance world, and every person said Wang Yibo. Lol-as if it could be anyone else!
I'm so excited for this movie! It will be in theatres in Thailand on Aug 10th, and Canada/USA/UK/Australia/NZ/Ireland on Aug 11th. Hopefully more countries will be added after that. This is the movie I've been most excited to watch, it looks so emotional yet fun! And it will be cool to see a bunch of familiar faces from SDC too

One and Only tells the story of Chen Shuo, who is still clinging to his dreams in the face of a dilemma, and accidentally meets Ding Lei in his life. In the face of several obstacles and difficulties, can they turn the tide and fight back against the problems of life?
In two ways, the character Chan Shuo is similar to Wang Yibo =. 1. both like Street Dance when they were young. 2. They both are very determine to be successful as a Street Dance dancer. However, they have very different backgrounds. In the movie, Chan came from a poor family. He has to work several jobs to help support the family and he does not have formal dancing lessons. In real life, Wang Yibo comes from a middle class family. His parents let him take a variety of extra curriculum after school. His grandmother told his parents that they should let Yibo learn whatever he liked. So, he started taking Street Dance lesson around 11 years old. When Yibo was 13, he went to compete at the China National Street Dance and was placed within number 20 (I believe he was actually number 16). An entertainment company saw Yibo's dancing performance and thought that he had high potential to be successful. So, this company sent Yibo to South Korean for special music and dance training. He graduated from the performing arts school with a stright A graduation. When Yibo was 17 years old, he graduated from the Arts and entertaiment high school in Korea and was able to selected to form a new boy band group named UNIQ. This group had a few very good songs that you can find it in he internet. The rest of Yibo's story and check from this point on.
