The El/Hopper relationship definitely is the highlight chemistry of this show. The great thing about it is often times movies or shows will try to develop chemistry in a romantic type of way between actors. But this chemistry is between a father and daughter which the actors pull off greatly. No other chemistry in this show is even close to these two. Their traumatic pasts with Hopper losing his daughter to cancer and his wife soon afterwards causing him to lose everything, and El's past of being raised in a lab and having no parents to care for her created two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together. Hopper so needed El and she so needed him. Their history and these actors abilities nailed this!!! This scene definitely pulled on the heart strings for sure.
I love how el and hopper are leaning into and hugging from the moment see each other. Like they both can’t believe the other is real and need that physical touch to be reminded that they’re really there
They grew such a strong bond in such a short time that it's easy to forget that Hop was only taking care of El for about 2 years. And only 1 of those was she legally his daughter. I guess for both of them it was such a strong instant attachment that their relationship felt like they'd been together forever. Hop longed for the daughter he lost and El brought him joy and a reason to live again. For El she never had a real father who cared about or loved her and she imprinted on Hop almost instantly. The two make a great pair. I do wish we'd had another season of them just being dad and daughter. I'd have loved to see more of the awkward learning curve and interactions they both went through before all the big bad stuff went down. That said what we did get was sweet and I loved it.
I LOVE that big scary buildup in the beginning and then the immediate relief when she saw his face. Poor girl has been through so much and seeing him was what she needed most in her life.
It’s been an emotional roller coaster for El this season. She needed her dad very badly for those long months of being bullied and not being able to fit in. She was also struggling with the fact that she believed she was the monster the whole time when it wasn’t even her fault. I’m glad Mike finally confessed his love for her because she needed him so much. Hopper coming back was just the icing on the cake as well ❤️.
Especially after the hell Brenner put Eleven through all those years. She told him off that he had every chance to get rid of Henry because of the danger he posed to the others, but he did nothing. Eleven realized she wasn't the monster, but rather Brenner because he caused all this with his obsession for power. It was his fault that those children died because he didn't step up and stop Henry when he had the chance. The lengths he went to keep her powers at the cost of letting the residents of Hawkins die, showed how little he cared about others. Hopper was the closest she had to having a real father in her life. He provided Eleven the stability she needed in her life. She gave Hopper another chance to experience having a daughter again.
The best part about their relationship is, Hopper gets a second chance at fatherhood, and El gets another parent that cares about her. I honestly cried so hard when he came in the door and she saw him
This is my favorite scene because El really needed someone to comfort her about Max, a teen girl being sad about her friend. Even though the whole season was building up to Hopper returning, I love how THIS is how they did it - seemingly so normal for this newly solidified father-daughter pair. The two bald heads. That literally summarized what both of them had been through, no need for explanation.
And probably it’s gonna be like that if mike dies in the final season and hopper would be there help her go through losing mike and comfort her and he is such a great dad
Honestly a really great show. One of the best. It still hasn't gotten to that point where nothing makes sense and it's just there to make money. It actually has heart put into it.
Season 3: They won against the upside down, but the group broke down. Season 4: They lost against the upside down, but the group is united again and stronger.
I love the way he says “I’m here” almost more to himself than her, like he still can’t believe he’s finally home and reunited with his baby girl. He’s just praying it’s not all a dream.

I’m rooting for her in season 5 and I wish they brought out the sister again Kali, like if El is in trouble Kali makes this crazy dramatic entrance with her crew and she does some super move on Vec, I know she won’t be in season 5 but I wish she was, we only got one episode w them and the leave was bad, I feel like she should be reunited with her sister again

I love how Eleven was the bad ass who lead her team to victory. But at the site of her adoptive Dad she breaks down like a little girl. She really loves him.
There's a theory going around saying that Vecna is really El's biological father and not Andrew Rich like in that comic. People are saying this because the Duffer Brothers might have it be a Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker moment in honor of the 80s theme. Anyway, if Vecna is indeed El's father, I would love to see Hopper come face to face with him and say "Get the hell away from my daughter."

Despite of how this season ended of badly on a cliffhanger, I find this scene touching. Eleven may be unable to reunite with her closest female best friend because of Henry's/One's actions but at least she's finally reunited with her adoptive father. Her true adoptive father.
El and hopper got the one thing they was missing in eachothers life and you can tell since he basically adopted el that he is whole and is alot happier now 💯
It really is so amazing when you had these kinds of reunions. It's not often in TV shows when it's made to seem like someone died but they actually didn't. And this one is just so satisfying and heartwarming to see, him being reunited with all the people who he loved and who thought he had died.
I don't know how you can watch this scene and NOT feel a deeper appreciation for the father in your life!everytime I watch this scene I just want to give my dad a hug!!! 😢❤❤❤ A father is a protector, a provider and a place of security throughout your life! A mother is a place of love, warmth, and a place where you can be vulnerable but a I'd much rather have a father than a mother because a father will prepare you for how the world works! A mother, no disrespect intended, will only prepare you for the world you envisioned! ❤❤❤

I would love to see Hopper put Angela in her place!
Hopper: So you’re the girl that’s been bullying my daughter huh?
Angela: *Shaking*
@@watergirl929 It would've been cool if Hopper and Enzo were there when Angela and her friends were bullying El in Rink-O-Mania. If Hopper was there, he would definitely defend El and also he would call Enzo to arrest Angela. Although Enzo is a Russian guard, it would be cool if he was a guard who moved from Russia to Lenora.
@@watergirl929 or be like “Am I a dead father to you?”
I love how Eleven was the bad ass who lead her team to victory. But at the site of her adoptive Dad she breaks down like a little girl. She really loves him.
This season was emotional. Well done.
Literally cried like a baby
Pure dad material right there.
I love, love, LOVE that she still wears the blue hair tie. It is just a beautiful little detail I'm glad they haven't forgotten
I was so, so, SO happy when they reunited. Also, I love Joyce+El scenes, its like Eleven is finally getting the mother figure that she deserves.
Say what you want about the show but this scene is POWERFUL.
This actually made me cry. And I’m a grown ass man and I have never cried at a TV Show before. But this was a beautiful scene. It was So well done.
This is where I was bawling my eyes out.
i will rewatch stranger things until the last of my days here on this earth it just makes me feel some type of way. this scene is so lovely, gut wrenching as well knowing that stranger things is sadly coming to an end…looking back & remembering all of the past seasons & the great memories
Despite of how this season ended of badly on a cliffhanger, I find this scene touching. Eleven may be unable to reunite with her closest female best friend because of Henry's/One's actions but at least she's finally reunited with her adoptive father. Her true adoptive father.
This scene was literally everything man, one of my favourites from the whole show. Hopper one of the best characters if not the best
El and hopper got the one thing they was missing in eachothers life and you can tell since he basically adopted el that he is whole and is alot happier now 💯
it doesn’t matter how many times i rewatch this scene i cry to it everytime
1:12 eleven sounds so cute ngl
“It’s okay, I’m here. I’M HERE.” ❤️

It really is so amazing when you had these kinds of reunions. It's not often in TV shows when it's made to seem like someone died but they actually didn't. And this one is just so satisfying and heartwarming to see, him being reunited with all the people who he loved and who thought he had died.
This finale really got me crying 6 damn times. Amazing season finale in an amazing season!
This was by far one of my favorite scenes in season 4 🥹
The way El says hi 😭😭😭 omg I cried
this scene still makes me violently sob. i'd been waiting for this moment all season.
I don't know how you can watch this scene and NOT feel a deeper appreciation for the father in your life!everytime I watch this scene I just want to give my dad a hug!!! 😢❤❤❤
A father is a protector, a provider and a place of security throughout your life!
A mother is a place of love, warmth, and a place where you can be vulnerable but a I'd much rather have a father than a mother because a father will prepare you for how the world works! A mother, no disrespect intended, will only prepare you for the world you envisioned! ❤❤❤
Now hopper needs to meet Angela.
😂😂
Nah the skate got her 😏😏😏
@@skysglcw I think Angela's bully-like parents will come to school to threaten El, but Hopper will come, kick their asses and threaten her with arrest or whole USA government.
@@vecnahenrycreel1300 Angela’s in Lenora Hills, and El is back in Hawkins
Oh man I was smiling and had tears going down my eyes I’m happy they are reunited again and anyone else notice hopper smiled the second he saw her and didn’t stop so wholesome
As a father, this hits you real hard.
The love for your children is unique
She acted it brilliantly
This scene makes me sob the hardest because eleven’s grief for hopper, it’s my reality. My best friend, basically my sister, passed in March 2021 and I wish every day she would come walking through my bedroom door. So this scene just breaks me.
Omgosh - tears instantly flow during that scene!!!
I’ve watched this so much and I still cry.
Bro, the way Hopper starts to tear up when he says "my hair?" Damn...
I cried so hard. waiting for this reunion was everything.
sobbing. we’ve been waiting for this for like three years🥺
THE REUNION THAT THE WHOLE S.T FANDOM NEEDED SINCE THE ENDING OF THE SEASON 3 FINALE.
Just imagine what it would of been like behind the scenes this is my fav scene
A grate moment between a father and daughter
While in the 80s and 90s a lot (!) of shows had „the feels“, nowadays no show does - except ST. And they do it even better than back then 🤗
These both got some phenomenal acting skills
After everything he has been through, Hooper's smile is the prettiest thing of the show for me 😭🥺🥰
