Getting pregnant was exciting enough...but revealing our big news to friends and family was easily one of the most anticipated moments for Chad and I. We wanted to create a fun and memorable pregnancy announcement that we knew would get a string of reactions from our closest peeps. In this video, I share a compilation of stories and photos and tell you how Chad and I revealed our big news.

My first child i had to tell my mom first cuz she had to bring me my test cuz my hubby was at work and we only had one car lol with my second it was right around mothers day weekend so i gave my mom her gift and in the bag was also my pregnancy test and a card which i signed from me my son and little one to come and everyone was so excited my mom was smiling ear to ear my mother inlaw was gitty jumping around in her seat reading her card it was soo awesome!
I have my husband's reaction on my RUclips you should watch. His reaction is priceless! It was about 4 years ago. Charlene is 3 now. I also have a video of her first lol, so cute
Thank you for making me assume on Instagram that my guess was right, but it wasn’t. I was guessing it was a boy, but even this gender reveal was a complete shocker yet full of happy and exciting emotions. I’m so excited!!!!! 🤗🙌🏼❤️

Omg I was watching Melissa and Do it on a Dime is one of my favorites as well❤
Great idea with the photos to capture immediate reactions!! My husband and I don't live in the same state as our families, so what we did to announce our pregnancy was to buy a pair of baby booties, stuff then inside a tiny gift box with a bunch tissue paper and a little note. One side of the note said, "our family has grown..." and the backside said, "...By two more feet!" We put the gift box inside a bigger box filled with crumpled newspapers (so it looked like something bigger than what it actually was) & mailed it out without any announcement or warning that we were mailing them anything. When they first opened the big box, the first thing they saw was a note to gather the entire family and to call me via video Skype before opening anything else. By doing it that way, I was able to see their reactions as well even though we were hundreds of miles apart 😁
So cute!!! When we told our parents at lunch, my husband was praying for the food and at the end said "and thank you for the blessing growing in my wife's belly" 😍😍For our second baby we made a video parody to "shake it off"😂
Walked into a big family bash wearing a white tee that said "old School" across the chest. Awhile into the party I changes into another white tee with "Baby on Board" written instead (same font). It was so fun to see the double takes from everyone. Not to mention the craziness that ensued. Really fun.
That is exactly how we announced our pregnancy to our friends and family too! It is so sweet because now that my daughter is getting older we look back at the pics and she is just so thrilled... For one of our reveals my girlfriends invited me out to a bar. Knowing I wasn't going to order any drinks I excused myself to the bathroom before we ordered, found our waitress and told her that I was going to ask her to take our picture right before we ordered. I announced my pregnancy as she was taking the picture and it worked out perfectly! Such a fun, memorable way to announce it!!

In France we have this coffee called "grand mère" which means "grandma" and we offer her a pack.
She was like "so what? You give me some cheap coffee?" Confused.. but she opened the card and there was the ultra sound image.
Cry and laught at the same time!!!!
And I gave my brothers some uncle bens rice boxes!!!
They figured it out way more quickly....
That's a unique way of telling people. You get to have one on one time with them to tell them that and you also have there reactions forever.

When I come pregnant my plan was to do either a picture like you guys did or surprise family and friends on a holiday like christmas (if i'm not showing that much)
When I was pregnant with my 2nd child, I just told my mom. Her response was priceless. She said, "If you lay with dogs you get fleas." 😜
Melissa Maker I'm pregnant with my 3rd baby right now. I announced it on my birthday to family and friends with the picture caption "happy birthday to me there's gonna be 3". My oldest child held up the number 1 on a piece of paper and second child held up number 2 and I held the number 3 over my stomach and we took pictures. For the gender reveal we did it with a blue cake for a boy. We surprised our kids with the cake and filmed me cutting it open revealing the color blue so they are getting a baby brother. I'm due February 7.
Melissa Maker I put a home test in a gift bag and gave it to my mom. I had just gone out of town for the solar eclipse so she thought I'd brought her a souvenir. She gasped and ugly cried for a good solid 5 minutes. We'd been trying for over a year and a half, so we are all ecstatic. My nugget is due in May and it'll be her second grandbaby, but my nephew is 8 now. I haven't told my dad yet, and can't think of a good way to do it!!!!
I had my son young so we just told our parent but 19 years later I became pregnant with my daughter, by this time we had ultra sound pictures. So I went to see my mom and showed her the picture, now mind you my mother had never seen this as she grew up in Puerto Rico and none of us ever had this until my girl. So I show her the picture and she looks at it and says what is this? I said you see that little peanut there? That is the baby in my tummy. She completely lost it......crying , screaming, so funny! I was 40 ! Now my girl is 15, times flies

As far as telling the family I think it was just phone calls ... this was 30 yrs ago! Everyone is more creative now ; I Loved your & Chads idea! Very sweet! So happy for you both & you are just glowing!

La Dama del Caribe he knew my cycle & recognized the early symptoms ; then I had the blood test ;there were no tests you could buy at the drug store back then!He called the lab , found out the results & then told me it was positive!
Kathleen Sauer: My husband told him that I was pregnant with baby number 9, he said he just could tell (I wasn't late yet) took a test just to prove him wrong and it was positive haha pregnant with baby number 11 now!

19 years ago on Father's day, gave my dad his gift wrapped in 'baby' paper...Congatulations to you and Chad!

How sweet, great memories for sure. When we anounced out pregnancy it was right around mothers day, so for my husbands parents we got his mom a card; but instead of it saying Happy Mother's day Mom it said Grammy. She had to read it twice to really figure out what we were saying. She was so excited. It was her first grandchild as well. His dad was pretty quiet but you could see that he was so proud. The bigger shock came a couple of months later when we called him to tell him that not only was he going to have one grandson, but two! Yup identical twin boys. We actually had my husbands mom with us that day and to make it even more special; it was also their wedding anniversary.
For my first daughter I told my mom while eating spaghetti...she almost spat it all out!
Then Christmas '15 I announced I was pregnant by wrapping the positive test in a stocking and giving to hubby. He opened it in format of everyone but stayed quiet about it. The bigger announcement was a few weeks later.....twins!!

Me and my husband tried to get pregnant for 3 long years and when we finally did we found out on Father's Day and it was so magical that was last year and now my beautiful daughter is here in my arms and is now 8 months old and an absolute blessing 💖
Awww, how sweet! I told my mom and dad by just showing them the positive pregnancy test. They flipped out. It was their first grandchild. With my in-laws, I gift wrapped a white onesie and gave the gift to my mother in law for her to open in front of the family. She thought it was a belated Christmas gift and they all screamed when she pulled out the onesie. It was so fun and exciting to announce the pregnancy!

So exciting!!! What a fun way to share the news! My husband and I went through a long time with fertility issues so my family knew very early with our first daughter- however our second daughter was a surprise so no one was expecting to hear another announcement from us - we had my in laws over for dinner and I just casually handed her a pair of pants (they were maternity pants) and told her I needed them hemmed, please...... she was looking at them “no problem” and then she starts freaking out - WAIT these are maternity!!!!!!!!!!” Is was great!!!

You never shared how you told Chad, or his reaction. That would have been one for the history books. LOL. Seriously I'm very happy for you both.
I immediately told my husband, our parents, and siblings with many phone calls! Then once at work, I told my employer, and co-workers! I could not wait to let everyone know!

I would have to get more creative next time. Mine was just a phone call, but I am also blessed as my family & friends were overwhelmed with joy. Like you, I have been married to my supportive amazing husband for 9 years before we had our son ( currently married for 12 years), so you can understand how everyone was waiting to know of this special news.

Over a year later I'm seeing this.... we told my mother on her birthday, I wrapped baby shoes in a huge box of foam peanuts...she had to dig for the present. She was turning 76, so, seeing her dig, then the puzzlement of the shoes, and then the light dawning. Priceless. (I'm a later in life Momma, I was 37 when I had my daughter).

What an awesome idea and to keep these pictures for memories! We told the news to our parents on Father's Day and we found perfect shirts for both of sets of parents from Target that said "Great dads get promoted to grandpas". It took a second to sink in but both families were ecstatic!

On our second(current) pregnancy we told our little girl who is 3 first and we brought her around to everyone's house and she got to tell everyone she was going to be a big sister. My son and daughter-in-law gave me a nice picture frame for Mothers Day. It was wrapped very prettily and when I opened it, this verse on the frame -"Tiny finger, tiny toes, rosy cheeks, button nose. In the blank picture area, they had written "Picture to follow mid-January or so". As the meaning started to sink in, I stood up and started walking around crying "What? What!! do you really mean...? Are you telling me you're pregnant? I was in very happy shock. I didn't know they were videoing me. The video has of that happiest moment has been safely filed for our first granddaughter. It was the best Mothers Day gift, - ever!!

What a great reveal idea! When my wife and I finally had the good news that I was pregnant (we used IUI treatments to get pregnant, and the fourth one was the charm), we told both our families in one weekend.
For my wife’s family we wrapped up a tiny Rolling Stones t-shirt as my FIL is a huge fan. When he opened it, we said we’d like to borrow the shirt at some point, and then my MIL kept saying “ooh you should wait with buying baby things until you are pregnant.” At which point I assured her that really, it was about time we bought that shirt then. Then she screamed and cried a little (we later found out that my wife’s dad cried after we’d gone home.)
The next day it was my nephews first birthday (my sister’s kid), so we knew all of my family would be there We had prepared a little onesie for my nephew that said “I may be small, but I will be a big nephew in March 2018!” Before all the other guests arrived, but with my family all present, we asked my sister to open the present, bc “we weren’t sure if they were going to like it.” (We also didn’t want to overshadow the First Birthday which was the main event.) It took my sister about two seconds to start crying, and then my eldest brother and his boyfriend followed suit. After that my parents and youngest brother also cottoned on to the news and they were all super excited!
Since most of our friends live pretty far away, we told them by sending a very early ultrasound picture over Whatsapp. Not the most creative, but we certainly got a lot of happy replies to that one :)
Then we went to Ikea and got ourselves a rocking moose for the forest themed nursery :D
