I just saw Cinderella on tour a few months ago and I'm so jealous it wasn't with this cast! However, I enjoyed the beauty of the production and the resonance and hilarity of what Douglas Carter Beane has added to the story.
I haven't read a review where some really praised the new book. But I love the music so much I kind of want to see the show anyway, even if the new plot sounds horrible.
