I love when you do comparison videos like this. It's nice seeing the results side by side. That's unfortunate that the Doux dries out your hair. I had my hopes high from the first video, lol.

@@AshieLauren365try Mielle pomegranate mousse !!! I was having the same problem with the Doux. Great definition but definitely dries out my hair. The Mielle one is perfect. It has both the definition and the moisture you’re looking for.

I used mousse def a few times for about 3 weeks or so, and while I do like the product it’s not for someone that has protein sensitive hair. Seen the protein in the ingredients but I didn’t realize at the time I was protein sensitive until after using it a few times. While my hair looked defined, and really shiny, it was actually very dry, brittle, and just felt like hay/straw Lol. My hair was a tangly mess and severe single strand knots. By the way my hair is type 3b 3c for reference. I was so sad that I wasn’t able to use it 😩 I really wish it didn’t have the protein in it, because it would have been perfect for me. The hold is very good on this product so if that’s something that’s important….mousse def definitely gets points for that!

That is so good to know! I didn’t realize it had protein either! Have you tried any of their other foams? I really did love the hold, definition and shine The Doux gave me so I would love to try another!

Yes, I’ve tried their other foam that’s from her new collection honeybee line I believe it’s called. It gave me the same result as the original mousse def foam. I’m learning the terminology for a lot of different proteins so I found out with the doux mousse it’s labeled as silk amino acids, so that’s definitely a protein. She actually has protein in quite a lot of her products including the shampoo and conditioner lol. So the doux line of products is a no go for me 😄 if she ever comes out with protein free products then I’ll give it a try in the near future. Hopefully at some point a really good mousse that ticks all my boxes will show itself because it’s quick styling and drying time. When and if I do I’ll definitely come back and leave a comment that’s for sure lol. ❤️
