He did easy 10second screams before, screamed a 16second bridge while covering Wish by NIN, even though he was screaming throughout the song.. yet, was recognized only when they released Given Up.
to be fair, those are from live performances compared to what was on a record. you gotta remember that out of all those that buy the albums, only a fraction of that crowd is gonna go out of their way to watch live performances online

The live version on the Ozzfest 2001: The Second Millennium compilation album is much better. They opened their shows in 2001 with this song so they really brought it stepping on stage with Chester screaming the "Come on". Back in 2001 especially on Ozzfesr 2001 they still had a lot to prove. I saw them on that tour & they absolutely crushed it really surprising the crowd winning everyone over.

You mean the 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004 World Tours, Texas was part of those Tours buddy, I flew out to Europe for the 2000 and 2004 Tours and every performance was as good as Texas, Camden New Jersey was amazing with the performance of "Wish," which was Chester's big fat middle finger to Samantha for obstructing access to Draven, while demanding Child Support from him, and of course "One Step Closer" with Jonathan Davies and everything in between from Hybrid Theory and Meteora

live in texas was the first album I ever bought from linkin park back when I was barely a teenager - I fell in love instantly, still do to this day and im sure for the rest of my life
