She says herself that she is taken for a man every day. Really, look at the size of her shoulders and hands! As for myself, I'm happy that she is a woman. What I like about her is that she doesn't appear to want to be transgender but refers to herself as androgynous, which I feel is more for someone who just wants to be themselves rather than one who desires to change their gender. This is why I usually call her handsomely beautiful rather than a butch! What I also find interesting about her is that if one has been watching her sing for years than you have seen her appearance evolve more and more on the masculine side so very naturally and her voice gets even better as she ages. Along with all I have just said, she comes across first as a phenomenal singer as well as a wonderful person! If I have been offensive in any way at all, I apologize, as it is not my intent. I love k d lang just as she is at the time I see and hear her...ALWAYS!
