If im not mistaken it was registered by last year or two years ago. That was she meant by protected under geographical indications.
Yep, cut cost and time! Not only margarine but also everything masuk sekali 😢. Bought from them before, not original taste at all! If anyone wants betul betul ori lapis, get from “small” owner or homebakers where they use real butter and pure condensed milk, not the ones for teh tarik punya. Usually 2 or 3 months before Raya, you can’t find any condensed milk (either Milkmaid or F&N) on supermarket shelves cuz all bought by homebakers for kek lapis! 🥰

Most of the food handlers in Malaysia do not wear gloves. Wonder what is the standard and hygiene level imposed by any of the local authorities regarding handling of food items.
My husband runs a restaurant . Our country imposed food hygiene regulations and food handling course in Malaysia is a legal requirement from Ministry of Health. Normally the authorities will check the process of food preparations, premises, cleanliness, etc but not that frequent. Maybe once or twice a year
Actually wearing gloves is more unhygienic compared to hands. Gloves required you to change frequently also cannot diff things with same gloves such as you already touch the egg, then with same gloves you want to mix the flour.
Meh if they wash their hands frequently it's good enough for me. Most food handlers in Malaysia use the glove to avoid getting their hands dirty. They will touch everything with their gloved hands and then touch the food that you eat. They will only change gloves when it looks very worn or torn.
