Stephen has been playing a much simpler and mild style for a while now, but its all these little embellishments (a bend the size of a hair or a quick hammer-on, seemingly meaningless) that add tasteful flavor to the sound.
This song is immensely romantic and very gothic in its sonic atmosphere. It feels as though you're floating adrift in space and thinking about those you love. It's impeccable.
One of my all time fave tunes from the boys, tis a shame it didn't make the album. I'm creaming right now, hope to see them thrash it out live one day!
