My favorite Don McLean song. Always has been. This song was perfect for Rob's voice he can tell a story with the best of them. Don's voice sounds exactly the same, I iused to play this song on repeat. Vincent Van Gogh

Love this collaboration! "Vincent" is such a great song by Don McLean! He originally did it in 1972. What a great remake with Home Free! Rob's voice is perfect for this song. Such a beautiful tribute to the sad life of the painter Vincent Van Gogh. He suffered from depression & committed suicide. He never saw any success during his life. But now his paintings are worth millions of dollars.
You are one of few reactors who saw Rob and Austin together (and with Don). Yes Rob was wonderful but when the trio was singing it was so beautiful. Very few noticed. Don is aseson at his age and Home Free always delivers.

You are one of the few reactors that saw/heard Rob and Austin. Most only noticed Rob (who was awesome) When they sang with Don it was so beautiful. Watching Austin look at Don with respect as they sang a trio was just wonderful.
This is truly phenomenal! What a voice Don McLean still has!
And of course Austin also sang great, but Rob's voice is just perfect for this song. His voice so warm, soft as silk and full of emotion. The quiet not overwhelming background vocals and guitar playing complete it for me. It's the same amazing song as my youth, but with the Home Free twist it's something different but awesome..
A beautiful song where I, of course, as a Dutch person, know the history of the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh well. I lived not far from his birthplace for a while.
If I could, I would have given Don McLean and Home Free a bouquet of sunflowers in memory of Vincent. The sunflower one of his most famous paintings 🌻......

As was added by others, this song was about Vincent Van Gogh. It also speaks about many of his paintings. Starry NIght, his self portrait that he painted after mutilating his ear, Irises. Many of his famous paintings were done after he admitted himself to an asylum. He was trying to tell many of his feelings in his paintings but he was never recognized as a true artist until after his death by suicide.

I love when they do a collaboration with Don. They actually have done another one with him on his new album. This song is about Vincent Van Gogh's the painter's life. Rob's tone is so nice with Don. And of course Rob and Austin together are beautiful. I really enjoy watching your reaction to these guys.
Don McLean wrote this song when he read a biography of Vincent Van Gogh. He wrote it on a paper bag. Recently the paper bag was sold at auction for 1.2 million dollars.
This song is an homage to Vincent Van Gogh and his paintings, and one in particular called Starry Nights. He was psychologically troubled all his life and ended up taking his own life, but was still able to produce phenomenal art.
Don Mclean and Home Free did a beautiful job on this song together. The harmonies is beautiful. Rob did a great job and Austin did a great job to. I can hear Tim's low bass and Chance to. I will miss Austin. I hope you get better. Yes that is painting

So happy you reacted to this one! It’s a beautiful song and Don and the guys did not disappoint! Don sounds amazing! This is the third collaboration for Home Free with Don. Home Free is featured on Don’s upcoming album (or it may have been released) on his original “American Boys”. They provide background vocals on it. It’s about the people who created Rock and Roll right here in America. Of course, I believe you reacted to their rendition with Don of American Pie several years ago! It’s so great seeing you back doing reactions!
