I commend this pastor for his awareness, honesty, and willingness to have this conversation with a black woman. As Babbie said, it begins with conversation. Healing for trauma begins with conversation and acknowledgment of others' pain and struggles. I love Babbie! Her music ministered to me during trials in my formative Christian years in Barbados. I also had the privilege of attending her concert in Barbados. Her music continues to minister to me. Since we have moved from cassettes, I am now buying her digital songs that have blessed me over the years. Thank you, Pastor! Thank you, Babbie!
My mother always says “ Don’t let anyone or anything steal your Joy” She is 83 now and has taught this to her grandchildren too.

Woke up this morning 19 March 2021, with Babbie's song "Lord show me how to love" on my heart. She is my fave singer. Spent my early adulthood listening to a 90 min cassette of her songs. I love her spirit so much. Please extend my deepest love to her from Tobago!
Oh yes can relate that is how I ended seeing this interview, was just playing and singing along to some of her songs. I absolutely love this great woman of God her ministry through song and music is uplifting discerning and reassuring!!

God Has Another Plan... yes He does, Babbie. That song saved my life in August of 1995. I was given two weeks to live. God truly did have another plan. Thank you for singing those words. Jeremiah 29:11 is true yesterday, today and forever.

Just was surfing on Facebook, was listening to a praise and worship song by Babbie Mason.. then, I found this conversation.. so glad!
I had just listened to Babbie Mason sing on a Gaither video. She has a beautiful voice. I wanted to learn more about her, so I listened to this video. She referred to the scripture that the joy of the Lord is her strength. That resonates with me so much. Her views and her heart on the racial tensions following the George Floyd incident really speaks to me. Thank you to the pastor and Eastside church for conducting this interview. I have things to think about and pray about. May God bless Babbie and this church.

Wow , I am of Babbie’s generation and color but living in the Caribbean always heard and read of some of this racism but never expierence it in such a way. What a heart of God to hear her testimony and admonition if ever there is a strong woman with a strong commitment to Jesus Christ I sense it in her. Very inspired also by the white Pastor John who comes over so genuine and wanting to be really a reflection of Christ . Inspired and bless.
Unfortunately many don’t even like or respect each other in the same family let alone others.

Thank you so much! I just discovered Ms Mason in October 2021 when I sang three of her songs to my seniors. Pray On, Trust His Heart and Change Me Now. What a blessing she is to me. I thank God for leading me to her songs. I wish I had more of her instrumentals to sing to my seniors. God bless you Mrs Mason.

I came to know of her during a televised Billy Graham service. One of the songs she sang was "A World of Difference". I started then (during the 80's) collecting her songs. I absolutely love her and her mission!

I love conversation but conversation without action is nothing more than an empty Barrell or a clanging symbol! What we need is action! Faith without works is dead!! We need legislation! Not more conversation!!
What we need is police reform! NOTHING will change by conversation alone! Those girlfriends who called to support her, where are they now!? Where are they when congress was trying to pass the George Floyd Act?!! Where is the church?! Why is the church not on the front lines rallying against injustice!!
I am sick and tired of Everytime a tragedy happens like George Floyd, people want more "conversation." Then after the tragedy dies down, they return to their cozy comfortable lives until the next tragedy happens! It's insulting and ridiculous! God is not a fool!! God is not pleased with the church!!

Just wondrd whether....high school kids n your community r having sportsfest on summer camps?........no indepth bible studies designed for sixth graders?.......doesn't the bible speak clearly that ....God s gracious n compassionate?.......we had felt that compassion n grace via d aid of sine Christians who has helped subsidize our tuition fees n a university...founded thru a generous donation of an American philantrophist.........a school for boys that gas grown to bcome a university university..........Is the pain....reflective if the fact that some no longer adhere to the great good news..
