      chileeee anywayssss. Serena is the best over all around player. To have dominated in singles through different eras, doubles undefeated in grand slams, her olympic records with venus & a couple mixed doubles in there too. She is the GOAT to have been able do all this in the illustrious career of hers. Navratilova the only other one to dominate across different fields like that. 🤩

      And how many would Steffi have won if she hadn't retired at 30 years old? And if Monica hadn't been attacked in Hamburg? That's why I think that Monica is the best ever, because she was the best match player ever. Serena had many chances to win slams in her long carreer and missed many because she wasn't completely focused on tennis even without Olympia. What happened to her after 30 is incredible: she won so many slams and nobody expected her to do that. I hope she comes back in Australia, she clearly isnt' satisfied.

    I hope she changes her mind. She wasn't satisfied after the US Open. She reached 4 GS finals, after Olympia, aged 37-39. That says a lot about the level of the women's tour at the moment, which is pretty low. She could totally win in Australia if she practices her serve a million times like she used to do in the past

    • @DeepSeas..
      @DeepSeas.. Год назад +1

      I really think Serena played better than Iga at both Wimbledon and the USO. These women bring everything they’ve got for the upsets but crumble when they advance within the tournament.

    • @milvao3400
      @milvao3400 Год назад +1

      @@DeepSeas.. You mean veterans? Yes, they do that. But that's because of their inconsistency. Even Venus could beat the top players. But she's probably going to lose the next day. Iga, on the other hand, is the opposite. She may lose a match but she's going to win the next day. She's not playing incredible tennis, she's playing well enough to win in every match she plays and that's why she keeps winning tournaments and slams. At the moment there are no rivalries and no great matches on the women's side.

  • @Anthony-cr5dh

    Fascinating that a fair few comments are going on about if she didn't have Olympia, but 2018-2019 she was in the finals and then after 2020, you can see it dipped dramatically. While I know it's a touchy subject (for some) I cannot help but always noticing that 2020 onwards, Serena had extra baggage and hey, that's absolutely fine as we get older our metabolism drops and perhaps Serena was training hard but wasn't able to burn off OR not being on a strict diet. HOWEVER, it literally could just be the fact that the younger generation just know how to overpower/counter punch her to exhaustion as her rallying game was noticeably weaker as time went on.

    • @milvao3400
      @milvao3400 Год назад

      Clijsters won more slams after giving birth (3) than before (1). Serena was just unlucky to lose those 4 GS finals between 2018 and 2020, that could have happened to her at any stage of her carreer, but it happened at the end. The level of women's tennis is low at the moment and it has been like that for a while now... We saw good top 30 players reach GS finals (Pennetta, Pavlyuchenkova, Krejcikova..) not because they improved but just because they didn't have to face competition. Serena took advantage of that for years and she was dominating. When Henin, Clijsters and others were around, she was still winning slams but she couldn't dominate. Henin beat her in 3 different slams in 2007. This younger generation is nothing special. There is only Iga Swiatek who is a consistent and solid players. All the others could win a Slam or lose first round: Rybakina, Krejcikova, Raducanu...

    • @letoyajohnstone191

      @milvao3400 Год назад

      @@regulusarcturus Well, Clijsters had to beat Serena at 27 to win one of those slams :) And it's not that much different, if you consder that Serena reached 4 GS finals after giving birth. She was just unlucky to lose all 4. If she won a couple of those, we would be telling a different story. And she could have totally beaten players like Andreescu, Kerber or Halep at any stage of her carreer.

    You can see she one most matches here at slams and you can say she played mostly the slams after giving birth. I believe this was the big problem after giving birth cause she was not playing enough and not experiencing enough tennis

      @@serveoutwide I rather have players that keep it as it is and not make this fake interaction or rub their victory over someone's else with long net interaction when the other side clearly interacted in an extended period of time out of courtesy. Just look at the 75 faces that shook her hands, some of em just smiled politely but their body language clearly screams
      "What's up with her suddenly being all chatty?"
      Easy example: Serena really wanna talk and being all chatty against Giorgi in Wimbledon 2018, but sis didn't entertain Serena's wishes as she quickly took her hands off and shook the umpire hand. You can clearly see Serena still saying things but why forced an interaction when the other side has 0 interest?

      @@ichsannurzaman6904 i don’t care what you’d rather have. The only thing I know is that you excel in cherry-picking and being a hypocrite. Most of those players were definitely sad for losing a match, but were glad that the greatest of all time talked to them or told them that they played well. Your point would be accurate if Serena didn’t keep the same attitude when she lost. Grand slam final or any important match, truth is, she is chatty when she loses, as well. Look at her against Bianca when she had to retire and was bawling her eyes out. She still was chatty. Look at her when she lost to Bianca for the second time in a row at the US Open. Chatty. Osaka? Chatty. Kerber? Chatty. Halep? Congratulated her for 10 mins and didn’t even talk to her when she won against her at AO 21. Just say you’re biased and we’ll move on
