    It is a very good quality jacket, especially for the price. I liked the matte finish and the fit but it was too short so I ended up returning it. I ended up buying a Stone Island puffer jacket which is more than 4 times the price but not 4 times the quality.

    I think the 3d cut is that the shoulders arent stitched like you'd see on for example a normal t-shirt. instead of going over the shoulders it goes over the upper back.
    Atleast that's my guess based on the two 3d mock neck soufflés that I have from them that are done in the same way.

    Great video! Any idea how this compares to the Uniqlo Hybrid Down 3D cut parka?

    • @subtlesartorialist
      @subtlesartorialist  8 месяцев назад +1

      imo the less padded look of the hybrid is more stylish but less packable. Also has more pockets if that's important to you.
      The hybrid is slightly warmer and heavier (according to the chart on the Uniqlo website), but as always, whether that's a pro or con depends on your environment/activity.

    I’m going somewhere with 0-5°c, if I were to wear just 1 layer inside, would you recommend this down jacket?

    • @subtlesartorialist
      @subtlesartorialist  6 месяцев назад +1

      Can't say for sure cuz it depends on the wind conditions, your body's cold tolerance, the activity you'll be doing, how thick/warm your inner layer is, etc.
      The general advice is to wear a moisture wicking base layer (polyester/synthetics or merino wool), an insulation layer (wool, fleece etc) and finally a windproof/waterproof outer layer (this jacket). Hope this helps!

      Hi What are your thoughts on the other puffer jackets that Uniqlo offers? E.g. Powder soft down jacket, Ultra light down jacket

    • @subtlesartorialist
      @subtlesartorialist  8 месяцев назад +1

      Didn't try the others so I can't comment much, but I like how the seamless down jacket is right in the middle in terms of warmth, weight and style.
      Style aside, really depends on the features you need and the temperature you're in. For example, go for the hybrid down if you need exterior pockets, the ultra light down if your other layers are already solid and have less need for a super warm jacket etc.
      Too bad I don't live in a winter climate, otherwise I'll be reviewing all those haha.

      I'd go with an S if you intend to layer it over chunkier tops. Otherwise an XS is better over thinner layers. Best to refer to Uniqlo's size chart, hope that helps!

    would you recommend this jacket for autumn?
    i plan to travel to jpn this year, do you think it would be bulky to carry around if i took it off if it get hot
    its my first time traveling to such weather like these, i live in SEA

    • @subtlesartorialist
      @subtlesartorialist  8 месяцев назад

      Depends which part of Japan you're going, but I wouldn't wear this is autumn, especially if you'll be indoors often. Definitely bulky (in terms of space, not weight; it's a hassle to shop or take a picture with one hand holding the jacket) to carry around, so I prefer a wool/fleece layer where there's less of the urge to remove it indoors.

    • @subtlesartorialist

      Wouldn't recommend tight fits for winter gear as it'll constrict your blood flow and make you colder. M sounds about right for your height, but best to try it in store.

    is this warm enough / practical for skiing?

    • @subtlesartorialist
      @subtlesartorialist  7 месяцев назад

      The puffiness might restrict your movements, and will feel stuffy if you're doing strenuous activities. I'd lean towards fleece/wool layers instead.
