I got the leather sheath with my obsidian. I like it better than I thought I would. I took my pocket clip off, and it is still a very tight fit on that leather sheath if you have a bit holder in there as well. You are right about that. I wish it had the side pockets for the bit extender and rachet driver. I ordered the black nylon sheath with it so I can use the pockets. My bit kit got so stuck in the back pocket of the nylon sheath I had to use the pliers and a LOT of force to get it out. I put a towel on the pull tab of the bit kit when I gripped it with pliers, but it still marred it. That did seem to stretch it out enough that it works now.
I dropped my original Leatherman Arc on concrete the other day and not a single scratch on it. Not sure if the Obsidian would look so good after that drop.

I guess Leatherman believe very few of these are going to be used as a working tool or at least anything over a light EDC tool, knowing unlike their customers how short a time this tool would be available, lol ! My guess is many customers have unboxed this item that otherwise would not have ? Pretty sneaky if you ask me ! There is going to be quite a few pissed off collectors and traders out there 😮.
Definite miss for those who carry the bits in rhe sheath. Looks like they added the slot to the heritage sheath without changing the dimensions 😆 There are so many better sheath options available though. The only Leatherman sheath I like is the Ainsworth sheath
Arc is the worst tool Leatherman has ever made. I had an original Arc first and the frame flexed like some $20 chinese multitool, the wire cutters broke on hay bailing wire (which even Gerber's bunk ass carbide cutters have no issues with), and the blade came crazy dull and wouldn't take an edge worth a damn. Not to mention the horrendous edge retention. If the blade even really is Magnacut, the heat treat is terrible. Now I have the Arc Obsidian. All the same issues are present with the tool and then to make things even worse, the "leather" sheath is the worst I've ever seen. The stitching is godawful, there's glue visible everywhere, and the tool has to be forced into the sheath, even without the pocket clip when the bit card is in there. The Arc is by far the WORST Leatherman I've ever been unfortunate enough to handle, and that's saying something because I've owned nearly every model Leatherman ever made and there have been some turds in the past but the Arc is king turd

STAY AWAY. They ripped me off by sending me an Arc that had engraving done by a 3 yr old. They wouldn’t fix the problem. Horrendous customer service. Get a SAK or SOG

I've got the leatherman surge with bit kits and ratchet driver i would love the leatherman arc but it's the money i can't afford it at the moment 😢

Turn the bit kit around with smooth side facing the inside. Works better.
tried it. bit kit slides in a little better, but still way too tight to fit both the kit and the tool.

was the leather pouch made in china? they should probably call themselves nylonman since those holsters are much better than the leather ones.
The pouch is stamped with "made in USA" but honestly I would agree that the nylon/canvas are WAY BETTER!
