There is so much content available here. Ships, space combat, history, technology, different species, different cultures. The possibilities are endless. I wouldn't even know where to start. This will be fun
Whomever wrote this series of games (and the original Dragon Age: Origins) is a genius. They should be writing scripts for movies. It's because of Dragon Age that I decided to give Mass Effect a chance. I'm not a kid anymore with infinite time, so I have to be selective of the games I play.
What is Mass Effect? A massive franchise that has such expansive potential that even a 5 hour+ long video only scratches the surface. Also I'm looking forward to seeing what background stories I can pick up on while playing through the Legendary Edition whether they be simple, funny or chilling.
2:22 it would be more accurate to say that you have a maximum possible velocity through space-time, so the faster you move through space the slower you move through time, and vice versa. So if you were able to somehow travel at the speed of light, your motion through time would be zero. Experiencing the universe from the perspective of a photon, no time at all passes from the moment it is emitted from the Sun, to the point it bounces off a leaf, and ends its journey being absorbed by your retina and being interpreted as the color green. To us that journey took around 8 minutes, but to the photon no time at all passed.
I want them to make a high budget tv show of mass effect starting with the whole ordeal with Saren, The Collectors, and then ending with the epic battle against the Reapers.
Mass effect 1 is the best in the trilogy and I am ready to lay down my life fighting for it's honour! But that aside, you can also make videos on the different races and factions like Krogan and genophage
Mass effect technology is actually not as pseudo scientific as one might think. I've actually done a bit of research on this topic. The only sifi leniency taken is how dark energy is harnessed as there is no known way to harness it. Mass effect short cuts this with eezo. Though the method for harnessing dark energy in mass effect might be a little unrealistic, what they do with it is completely in the realm of realism. Its been theorized that among other things, dark energy could be used to allow for gravity manipulation technology. Mass effect actually hasn't even scratched the surface of the endless theoretical applications of dark energy, including time travel, traveling to alternate realities and more
I have a Theory video idea.... But first- COLOSSAL SPOILER ALERT During the Trilogy, it's established that the Citadel is a massive Mass Effect Relay linking the Milky Way to Dark Space, and is used by the reapers to launch a genocidal campaign every 50,000 years. It's also established that during the last harvest cycle, the Prothians crippled the station's ability to act as a relay, which is why Sovereign needed Seren's help. The only way to enable the Citadel's relay ability was for Sovereign to manually attach itself, which was thwarted by a bunch of hairless apes and their stupid ships. SO! Here's the question! If the Reapers were hundreds of thousands of lightyears away in dark space, and even with the use of FTL technology mass relays are needed to traverse the Milky Way in reasonable amounts of time.... How did the Reapers get from Dark Space to the Milky Way in only 2-3 years, arriving at the end of Mass Effect 2?
I hope the world remembers these games in 2148. Wishful thinking, I know but, just like Back To The Future 2 in 2015, it would be cool to compare and contrast to real life in 2148. If humans are still around by then...who knows. We'll probably end up like the Krogan, destroying Earth with nuclear wars over and over and breeding out of control.
If all civilizations develop along the paths dictated by the reapers and it has been happening for at least 37 million years, how is there any Element Zero left to mine anywhere in the galaxy? 🤔🙂
*_It is video gaem_* In all seriousness, the concept of the Mass Effect itself is a fascinating take on FTL travel. How about the next video be on best boi Garrus then?
Yeah, right? BioWare's approach of the whole E-Zero thing is very interesting. Because they did think of a lot more than just FTL travel. That they thought of the electrical impulses in one's nerves too, is fantastic. And the best part is, that they do have the continuity throughout the whole series. There is no loophole or anything, it just works the way that the "scientific" explanation says it does and it doesn't change for the sake of storytelling or whatever... I would really like to know how the BioWare team came up with the idea of E-Zero.
@@kleingrrmpf Except it kinda does. In ME1, biotics could affect anyone regardless of their shields. But in ME2&3, biotics suddenly cannot affect shielded or armored enemies without any explanation.
This kind of Sci-fy you just have to accept it because it wouldn't actually work. . This kind of space drive isn't new. If there is anyone who has heard of E.E. (Doc) Smith and read his Lensman Series they also had a way to cancel out mass so they could go way way faster than light. It's a series I think everyone should read even with his weird style of writing as they were written way back in the 1930-1940's. But this concept would not work in real life because space is not empty and a zero mass ship no matter how big it is would hit dust and stop. Even a atom sized spec of matter would stop a zero mass object dead in it's tracts. It's like hitting infinite sized matter. It's a neat concept but you would need a perfect vacuum to travel though or it just wouldn't go anywhere. Smith even noted this when he had 2 ships coming head on with each other at faster than light and while it scared the heck out of everyone on those ships when they met they just stopped dead. No energy to transfer in a mass free ship. Another issue is just how could you get a space ship to even move at all? With current space travel you eject mass through engines to move it forward. But you also have to have the zero mass effect everything in the ship including the fuel so there is no energy to move the ship forward. The whole idea just wouldn't work.
The real Mass Effect is the friends we made along the way
Agreed
Yes
Turns out the Mass Effect was inside us all along, we just had to believe in ourselves
Just the real Meme Tanks.
The real Mass Effect is the Mass we Effected along the way!

I have a degree in astrophysics, you did a pretty good job of explaining relativity for the layman
Appreciate the kind words

I cannot wait for next Friday’s release. I love ME
I think dedicated videos on the history, biology etc on the different species would be rather dandy :)
I cant wait to binge all your mass effect videos
Can’t believe this only has 14k views. I was looking for a video exactly like this. You never disappoint.
Can’t wait for the remaster
Love the RDR2 "lore" series and I love ME so I can't wait for this playlist. Godspeed 🚀
The idea of negative charge and positive charge kinda make the idea fall apart, it doesn't matter which way current flows, it's the same

The Mass Effect series alone is bigger than entire career of Bollywood actors.
Yes, u absolute sir. I have been waiting for this content
Never did I think I would learn about Einstein's theory of relativity on a Fizhy video. I love it :)
You didn’t, I just summed it up to the best of my ability nothing more hahaha
@@Fizhy It was interesting nonetheless :)

Honestly futuristic games aren’t my style but i can’t wait for this series
I’ve never played a Mass Effect but I’ve always wanted to. I’ve preordered the game and I’m really excited to get into this world.
For information about lore, there are a few sources that u could use. The codex is the obvious one but there is also the Mass effect wiki
Only the best damn trilogy in the world!!!!!!!

The legendary edition was beyond worth it.
Garrus body pillow just killed me! 😂
You get a like just for that Boris joke alone, haha!
I'm granting the rank of best RPGs ever to the mass effect trilogy.
Final Fantasy Tactics.
I am totally on the fence about this game because im not big on remasters
All the goofy side quest need a video or at least the best ones.
Easy choice would be some Citadel background
I loved mass effect as a kid I can't wait until the brand new one comes out ;0;
it is pretty optimistic of you to think aliens can explain boris
Fizhy? Making content on ME? Excellent.

So the Promethians never made it past the Miky way? (I just started Mass Effect 1 and don't know the full story yet)
You might as well add your Twitch to that 'Social Media and Patreon' screen if people aren't familiar :)

mass effect gave me the norti disease
Mass effect is theoretically possible too.
So hype 🤟😎
genuinely never played any mass effect should i play the originals or the remasters when they come out?
For sure wait for the remasters as they drop on the 14th
