You picked lovely spot there. I had threw my drone when using Helix quickshot because I didnt notice some tall trees, and when I did .... my mini2 was already falling :( Luckily, I had to replace gimbal and ...all good, but my mistake did cost me ... Thanks for sharing this
Thanks for sharing this experience! I made this video to help avoid this as I have seen many people crash drones with the programmed maneuvers. However the drones usually bounce back as you can see. Happy flying and thank for watching!
This is such an inspiring video! I’ve gotten the first 5 successful flights today with my mini 2se. I’m curious if stills from this camera could possibly be blown up to 8 x 10 or a bit larger? Have you made any prints from the stills you have taken? Thanks for your channel!
Woe I truly appreciate all of your kind feedback. This drone is certainly capable of capturing images to print. I have printed 8x10s and they have come out amazing. I have blown up drone images as big as 36x48 Keep in mind that if you take multiple images and create a panorama, that is another way to scale an image up for larger print when using a drone such as the mini 2 se. Hope this helps!
Thank you for the great videos, I just bought the same drone (mini 2se) that you have and have learned a lot from them. I have the same concerns about the quick shots as it is very wooded where I live so there is always a tall tree potentially in the way… couple of questions, can you tell me the app you show at the beginning of your videos, the one that says whether is safe to fly or not…. And 2nd, I am using iMovie to create videos (1 thus far) and was wondering what source you use for the background music. Thanks again!
Hi there! Wow thanks so much for watching my videos it means a lot. I have linked the app in the description for my weather/satellite info. It is called “UAV Forecast” I mainly use RUclips creator music now as I am a monetized channel. However for my professional work and in this video I used an artist by the name Ashamaluev - he has a patreon for copyright music but also a done of free downloads as well. Enjoy!
I have a question I hope you can answer. I just made my second flight with my Mini 2 SE and when I landed I did not remember to stop the camera recording. I powered off the drone then I powered off the controller but I hadn't clicked the recording off. So..I pull the SD card and I have 2 recording files. One is fine and is the first 5 mins of flight. I watched it and all is well. I did have to initiate a RTH because I flew too far with a lot of trees blocking the signal. There is a second video file on the SD card but it has no thumbnail picture like the other file has and it will not play. Is the problem (hopefully) that I did not turn off recording before turning off the drone? Have you done this or heard of it from anyone with the Mini 2 SE?
Hey Colin, this can happen sometimes with either how you described or something going funny with the card filing. My suggestion is to check to make sure it is the same file type as the other, example mp4 file. Of the same then I would put the sd card back in the drone and head into the DJI fly app. Check the video there and see if it can be viewed. If so you may try and download straight from all if having trouble via computer. Let me know if this helps resolve the problem!
when u did the dronie shot, if you crop it in afterwards to instagram? how would it look? okay for instagram, or do you really need to buy a mini 3 where you can rotate the camera? im just on a budget, but going to bali next week, would love to bring a drone
I have been very happy with the drone video cropped in for social media so far - some lighting conditions are better than others but it’s the perfect travel drone 👍
hello. Thanks for the tutorial. I bought the DJI mini 2 SE and tried the quickshots. The drone creates a video only in the 1st part of the flight but not for the return to the subject. is there a trick?
For the first two options you’re right it doesn’t record the way back, I’ll e looking to see if you can adjust that. The other two options record the whole maneuver - one thing you can try if to want to have the boomerang effect is to duplicate the recording away from the subject and reverse it and mess with the speed and smooth out the clip. Great question!
Hi, my drone mini2 se is not quick shot making, when I press start button, it will not work kindly give me a solution. It’s all about in setting, but I don’t know kindly give me proper settings. I will be thankful to you...
Hi there! My guess is that you haven’t selected a subject to focus the quick shot. Make sure to highlight a subject before hitting the start button. Hope this helps!
Yes. Ive only done 1 fllght so far. I was pretty cautious and have yet to learn all the flight app settings. Your vids are helping lots. Thank you for them.
Gosh that’s frustrating! First make sure you have enough memory to complete the quick shot. If you don’t or don’t have a card in it might be why it wont start. There are two ways to select a subject. By tapping the green dots that appear when the drone auto recognizes a target. When you tap on one of those dots it should then place a green square around the object. Where you can then adjust the distance you want to fly away from before starting the maneuver. The other way is to drag you finger across the screen to select a subject. Are you seeing this? Any other info on your issue will help me to find it what might be wrong. Sorry that’s happening!
@@The-Drone-Guy thank you for your detailed response mate , that’s a good point i havnt actually got a memory card in there atm it’s just going straight to my phone, I could adjust the hight but not hit start I’ll get a memory card and give it a go , I could draw the box and alter the distance but the start button stays a lighter Green where I can’t click go , and when I was near a wind turbine I could circle it manually like I put the box around it I couldn’t hit start to record and do it it’s self but I was able to pull right on the right stick and it was sort of beginning to circle but stopped and wouldn’t of done it if I hadn’t of had my finger on the stick it’s so weird I just couldn’t work out what was going on but what you suggested about the memory card did cross my mind but I thought it would of just let me do it and put it straight in my photos but apparently not on this one weirdly enough. Really useful demonstration of the different quick shots. Do you find any difficulties flying over water? I always feel very nervous especially as it seems I have windy days! The flight radar app is also a great shout - downloading now. Thanks
Hey! Thanks so much for watching - for me after flying so long I don’t see it as any more dangerous than over land. So I try to just trust in the drone and my skills to know it’s all going to go smoothly. Takes a lot of practice tho!
