A delight, as always. Many thanks. Your lawn looks terrific and the garden is still colourful in spite of the fact that we are getting halfway to November. It must be the mild temperatures we’ve been having.
hi, thank you very much, The camera probably makes the lawn look good, parts of it are not great. The temperatures are really mild here. The peach tree seems to be dropping leaves and making loads of new buds already.
Great tour. The place looks vibrant despite the time of year. I've bought mahonia sweet winter and soft caress to get the flowers without the spikes and it's just flowered. My hot lips also flowering. Great work as always.
Your garden is looking lovely as always, the long view reminded me of my nanas back garden in west derby, it backed onto the park and I can't remember the name of the park, darn it. Regards from Canada.
I visited Mount Congreve gardens last week, they have a forest of mahonia, some of them must be about 30 feet high. I planted the 'soft caress' variety as the cat killed the 'charity' variety last autumn constantly scratching the base of it. I live next to an agricultural college on the grounds of a Victorian manor, they have a good few mahonia planted alongside a bunch of camellia , I love visiting them this time of the year, although the camellia won't flower for a bit yet. I have that 'genii' fuchsia, it's about 2ft high by 3 ft wide, it got savaged by slugs last February, but bounced back a few weeks later, I did go out every night in the dark with a head torch with a pair of scissors though, snip snip little buggers.
Wow 30 foot Mahonias, I don’t think I have seen any that big. They must have been there a good while. I have a few slugs in this garden. They are always clinging to the wall in numbers behind a bush. That is some commitment to slug eradication with the head torch.
Beautiful garden. I’ve taken a note of some of your shrubs. Have you ever been tempted to plant a Fatsia japonica ( just about to flower December) or a Daphne odora (beautiful fragrance in January). Both of my Jasmine flowered for the first time in 15 year this year. Obviously loves a very hot summer.
The Fatsia is a class evergreen shrub. I would not have room for one now. I have always been tempted by a dwarf Daphne though. must have been a nice surprise to see the Jasmine flowering after 15 years.
Wow! What a beautiful garden. And such a lovely variety of shrubs. Great job!!
Thank you very much for you kind comment.

Thanks very much again for watching. I hope you did not suffer too much in your garden with the cold.
You have interesting plants in your garden. Just found your channel and subscribed to it. Greetings Heidi from Berlin

Thanks very much again . I don’t back on to a park but Springfield park is not far away.
Wow, drama! ❤️

I have grown my Fatsia from seeds. I chop them back every other year and they don’t grow any talker than a Mahonia. The Jasmin was a lovely surprise.
No climbers on the walls? Not tempted?
I have thought about a climber but I am trying to calm down with plant buying as I already have too many. I will end up with nothing to post about.
