This was 8th April 1994 and it was how me and my friends found out Kurt Cobain was dead. We were also responsible for the fax machine moving behind Ray around this time because we would send things you couldn't say on MTV.
On the night this was on MTV, I was 14 on a school trip to Paris. My first time out of the homeland (Ireland), and my second nite in Paris with my school mates, having an amazing time. Then, my friend appears out of his hotel room and tells me the news about Kurt. I was utterly gobsmacked and frozen with disbelief. Making my way into my hotel room, I switched on MTV, and the final few minutes of Most Wanted- seen here - is what confirmed the dreading news. Wow, just wow. Seeing this again captures a sort of floating timeline, whereby memories and the present seem to merge into one. So far ago now, yet still relevant. Thanks for this upload.
