Unfortunately the ribcord of the new antenna is not taken in by the motor. Tried and tried again. The motor is turning but simply will not take the ribcord. Going to try one more time tomorrow when my patience is back 😉. Otherwise I’ll seek another solution. Tips are welcome!
Looks like an S70. Same thing happened to me though. Felt awful as I'm sure you did. This classic is the only car I have with a power antenna. The kid at the car wash didn't understand what a power antenna was and was almost ready to reimburse me for it. So at that point I'm feeling old AND dumb.

Thanks for this video! I have exactly the same problem with my Volvo S90 from 1997, also a carwash incident…… going to try later today to fix it.

Turned out that the ribcord needed to face to the front of the car instead of the back. Solved and the new antenna works!

I have this car I have not taken it through the car wash I've hand washed it everytime I worry about the front wipers never thought about the antenna
