Our mental health is directly tied to our physical health. Sleep deprivation and anxiety probably caught up to you. Use the next couple of days to focus on yourself and enjoy the holiday. ❤️
I wonder if your brain can't interpret normal sleepy shut down signals after so many years of not knowing how/when to relax? Now your treatment is working you could be realising how much sleep your body actually needs but you aren't used to feeling tired so your body just shut down?
I wonder if this is anything to do with the neurofeedback? Like maybe it’s making your brain react to the sleepy signals and it’s all catching up to you from how long you’ve gone not sleeping enough?? Love you ❤
Also try not to feel annoying in the hospital… as a healthcare worker here- you’re literally paying to be there- they should be doing whatever the eff you need to figure out what is wrong.
That’s what I was just thinking that she was experienced on an emotional/anxiety/panic attack that can last for quite a while. It’s nothing to laugh at and it’s nothing to feel bad about. I’ve just started a prescription of Zoloft.
I had a client who refused to go in, assuming it was just a flu or cold. She was in sepsis and passed away from delayed care, she was only in her 50s. Honor your intuition and the suggestions of those who care for you most. You’re worth it.
I went to the hospital multiple times over several years for stomach pain and was told it was gas. I really started to doubt myself but knew deep down more was wrong. One amazing PCP years later figured out it was actually chronic appendicitis and I needed a CT scan asap. So no you’re not crazy! Be your own advocate. My symptoms were similar to yours, lasted like a day but then went away and came back once every few months (started once a year)
Colleen, RELAX! You deserve to be seen by a doctor if you feel sick. You’ve had so much going on it’s worth double-checking. Don’t complain about money. You just saw Taylor Swift twice. Your health is worth more than all that. Your family wants you happy and healthy, and so do we.
STOP being embarrassed for advocating for your own health! Jesus, woman! Who cares if there was nothing, it's always better to get checked and it to be nothing rather than stay at home and it be something serious. You have to start speaking more kindly to yourself.
Colleen… You’re literally PAYING THEM for a service…they are there to serve you…they should thank you for coming!! I have had a weird issue, when I have a stomach virus for the last 15 years…where I ALWAYS have to go to either the ER, or an Urgent care clinic to get an IV and meds…because I have naturally low blood pressure, and I seriously become incredibly weak. My blood pressure gets down to 90/60…and sometimes I have to go in because I can’t stop puking and I’m on my 18th round of vomiting with diarrhea, and I can’t even get off the floor. So PLEASE don’t feel bad for seeking help when you feel really strange and not okay!!! ❤❤❤
Remember, flus can turn into other viral illnesses or become so severe they require hospitalization. It's always better to be safe and cautious, you followed doctors instructions. You weren't a burden or inconvenience.
I have Hypermobile Elhers-Danlos Syndrome and Dysautonomia, and I get flares/episodes where things like this occur very often. Im so glad you’re doing better! Sending you and your family Holiday wishes! 💕
I felt like this once and my doctor said it was probably related to anxiety/panic and lack of sleep…. Look into the long term effects of not getting enough sleep, it’s scary! I try so hard now to sleep as much as a normal person does 😅
Don't be embarrassed about your body. Remember to think if the situation was reversed with Erik or with one of your children and you wouldn't give it a second thought to bring them to the hospital and get the help they needed. ❤
Don't be hard on yourself for going to the hospital. You should be pi55ed off they were so dismissive. I've had anxiety attacks, even had to call an ambulance because I thought I was going to d1e. This does not sound like anxiety. If you haven't done so lately, have your GP do a complete blood panel & look for vitamin, mineral deficiencies and/or check for viruses. It's your body. You must advocate for yourself!!
Aw, Colleen! You are not dumb. You deserve to rest and feel better, just like you would want for erik and the kids. I hope you feel much much better. ♥️
I have severe anxiety and this has happened to me. I feel most of my anxiety in my legs so when I’m super anxious I feel like I’ve ran a marathon. I once fell asleep and woke up and couldn’t move all for the hospital to make me feel crazy for it being anxiety
You’re not alone! Sometimes the body can act weird when it isn’t getting what it needs, even if it’s a normal illness or it isn’t actually sick. I’ve been kinda dehydrated and lacking sleep for like a year. And I’ve been having weird muscle/nerve pains in random spots. I had the same thing like a year or year and a half ago. At first I thought it was a UTI or something but it’s also in my upper back, my ankle, my abdomen, etc. I think it’s just dehydration+lack of sleep 🤷🏻♀️
I had every single one of these symptoms this past week. Finally decided to go to the er last night, turned out it was AFIB and a possible blood clot in my arm. Definitely go in if its something youve not experienced before.
Seeing Flynn show off the Christmas village and explaining everything was so precious! It brought me back to my childhood!! My parents have a pretty big collection of a Christmas village and it was always one of my favorite things to put up! I always set up the little people and animals and I would create storylines for them about what they were doing. It sounds like Flynn was doing that too and I just had to comment because it made me smile!
How strange we have the same stomach bug in London. No nausea, no diarrhoea just bad stomach ache, extreme fatigue snd shortness of breath which suddenly stops hours later. Glad you feel better ❤️
What you are explaining sounds like what happens to me during a silent panic attack. I've also gone to the hospital for a panic attack 🙃 I'm not saying that's what happened to you! I hope you feel better ❤️
Dude, I have cancer & even my primary care doctor refused to have me come in when I had pneumonia symptoms beginning 2 weeks ago. Turned out to be a flu but after a cancer diagnosis you're never more aware of new body symptoms.
I’m glad you’re okay! ❤️ I think it’s important to remember: so what if you waste someone’s time or inconvenience someone? they’re still going to move on and go about their day. you “wasting their time” is not going to wreck someone’s life. go waste their time!! who cares!!
I went to the ER 3 times this year for a bad tummy ache. The first 2 times I was sent home with a tummy bug. On the third time I went in, I was diagnosed with appendicitis! My regular dr suspects I had an inflamed appendix, but not full blown appendicitis the first 2 times. I hate going to the ER and feeling like wasted space, but you know yourself the best, so get the care you need. Sorry you felt that way, but piece of mind is sometimes what ya need ❤
Colleen you aren’t stupid at all! So glad you are feeling better and back to normal! I love how Flynn is a little vlogger showing us the Christmas village! Love your vlogs so glad you are back! 💗💗💗
good recovery from stress and fatigue viruses take advantage of this , the systeme is down rest collenne takes a rest full love collenne and family happy week-end everyone
I have this same feeling EVERY time I go to the hospital. Like you don't want it to be anything but it also kinda sucks when its nothing. I often hold off so long that it could be dangerous if it was something. BUT JUST SO YOU KNOW - my dad had a surgery for a clot behind his leg. He went home and after a few days got a tummy ache. He thought it was the pain meds so he kept putting off going in. FINALLY he went in and his tummy had ruptured. He actually passed away from it - so NEVER feel like it was a waste to double check (even though we feel like it was a waste). I am so happy you are home and feeling better
You’re NOT stupid. Your systems, your body not working and major fatigue is exactly what my adult son had. It turned out he had the Flu. He felt stupid for going to the hospital (I made him) for exactly the reasons you stated. Neither of You are stupid. I’m grateful that my son’s okay and grateful that you’re okay. Please try and be kind to yourself. Give yourself some grace. Sending Love, Strength, Peace and Strength. 🫶🏻✨🕊️💫❣️
Omg girl.i had the same thing last week. Your not stupid or waisting any time. You honestly made me feel better because I thought I was super sick last week only to find out it was a stomach bug
i felt this way a few months ago, & went to urgent care hoping to get some bloodwork done bc i just felt awful. no sickness, just awfulllll, couldn't explain it. it had to be something bad, right? she sent me home with zyrtec & ibuprofen....... i was fine the next day. i've also been to the ER with chest pains multiples times, had EKGS & xrays done, just perfect every time. HEALTH ANXIETY AT IT'S FINEST! (& i'm sure i will be back for my yearly "just in case" EKG/xray)
The exact same thing happened to me the other day. My parents almost took me to the hospital because I had no energy and I could barely move. It was really scary but I am fine now. I am just glad to see that I am not just really dramatic.
Last week I was violently ill. Just like you were describing but I was vomiting all day. But since I am pregnant they encouraged me to go to the ER. I was miserable waiting for them to just tell me it was a stomach bug. But I did get fluids and nausea medicine. So not a complete bust. Felt so much better the next day. It hit my little one a couple days later but not vomiting but the other end 😬 she’s a lot better now. Hope your little ones are spared!!!
I get this. I have fibromyalgia and I get completely wiped at Christmas. My body just says no and have to take it very slow and rest alot, which is horrible during such a busy month x
i have these symptoms when i’m having a panic attack. it will last for days sometimes if i don’t take medication to stop them. it causes me severe body aches the next day after my first symptom occurs!
Colleen trust me when doctors get to say it is probably just influenza that is bright moment of our day. Patients like you are a relief to be able treat. Being conscious and caring about your health is never something you should be ashamed of, as you said it is better safe than sorry. Sadly most people come in too late over something easily preventable so if you think something is wrong with your body listen to it.💞
Girl… when I had the flu I called my doctor because I thought I was dying. You’re not a drama Queen. You deserve medical care just as much as anyone else. Glad you’re feeling better!! ❤
Hi Colleen - I had similar symptoms for a year (nausea, random fainting, panic attacks, fatigue, stomach problems etc) and went to the hospital to then be told theres nothing wrong we me. I knew this was not the case so 4 years down the line I'm still trying different treatments and lifestyle changes to see if it helps. The symptoms did get much better naturally and seemed to coincide with my mental health. I believe that all the symptoms were my body having after-shock-like effects from extreme mental health issues I had in 2020. It sucks bc no one can give you a solid answer but you feel awful day to day. I had to turn to things like lifestyle changes, chinese medicine, and CBT therapy to work through that trauma I was holding in my body. I essentially had to force myself to be better mentally then STAY that way. And that was so hard but I did get through it. ADHDers like us are known to hold a lot of our thoughts and experiences in emotion which is stored in energy in our body, this can really take over if we dont learn to control it. Im still learning about my body and maybe there is an issue that I dont know about yet but this is my story so far, and i hope its helped you to feel less alone. Open your mind to other forms of healing that arent western medicine and have fun exploring it. Love you always! Happy to answer more questions, Annabel x
PAINT!! Okay, so I was homeschooled through all years of my schooling most of it was on the computer. Instead of doing school I was on Paint! But now I'm a graphic designer/artist so all of the time spent on paint was more valuable than my actual schooling 😂😂😂😂
I’ve went to the hospital once with so much pain in my back, it woke me up out of my sleep. I was told it was a panic attack. I mentioned what if it was my gallbladder? He ignored me. I was back the following night the same doctor was there, ran more test, the next time he came in he brought the general surgeon bc my gallbladder needed to be taken out asap 😒 Always listen to your body no matter what!
IF you take medications, check that first. Sleep is essential. I sincerely hope you recover from this mystery illness. All the best to you Colleen. Take care. 💓💓✌✌😊😊
I’ve felt like that before but i was bleeding out. I had my period for like a month and it was heavy. Even walking very slowly half a block was the most exhausting thing. I went to the ER and needed two bags of blood!! It was scary. But I’m glad you are not going through something that bad. Don’t let the doctors make you feel like you’re dumb or crazy. Feeling that fatigued is not normal and only you know your body.
The flu is no joke when I got it a few months before lockdown I was scared at how sick I got. Just the flu affects everyone different so give yourself grace. Glad you are feeling better
Please don’t feel shame for checking on yourself! I have my whole life and it’s actually perfectly normal and okay to want to take care of yourself. Sometimes people who typically don’t take care of themselves or experienced mental/ emotional/ physical neglect have trained their brains to believe it’s an unnatural urge to check on illnesses or pains. It’s VERY much good and okay and I hope you feel better and stay better through the holiday 🤍
The same happens to me. I get so weak and extremely tired. I have shortness of breath. It just randomly happens. It started happening so often i panicked thinking I dying. Did all kinds of blood test and nothing came back abnormal. Was told it was a panic attack. You are not dumb. Sending you love❤
Stress and lack of sleep can cause so many problems. Spending time in nature away from electricity and the internet for 3 to 4 days can help to reset the nervous system and help the body de-stress and heal itself. Sometimes the body can get stuck in fight or flight.
Girl I have chronic Lyme disease and no drs listen to me. It's all in my head. I'm so over the medical field. My body feels like that a lot. Almost sounds like chronic fatigue. It sucks when you know your body and drs tell you otherwise. I'm sorry! Hugs. When I first got Lyme I didn't know I just knew my body never felt like that b4. For 6 months and 5 drs I was told nothing was wrong never even took blood. Finally I had adr listen and took blood and guess what I tested positive for Lyme so because no one listened in the beginning I now have chronic Lyme. I'm sorry to everyone out there that goes through this❤
Colleen you have three beautiful children and a husband and a whole bunch of family members that love you and it’s always always better to be safe than sorry. So don’t beat yourself up for going to the hospital. I’m glad you’re OK.
I totally feel you. I hate go to the hospital. But my doctors tell me to go when I’m unwell. I frequent the hospital here but it’s a good place to be if one is unwell. But doctors need to take us seriously. And not treat us like cattle💜
Hey Colleen, I’m glad to hear that you’re doing OK and don’t feel sorry that you went. It’s better to be safe than sorry. I don’t think he wasted anybody’s time and I have to say you got a little Vlonger on your hands. Flynn did a great job and he is so handsome so cute. Thank you for sharing your Christmas village. It is so nice. ❤
you gave BIRTH and never made a big deal about it & even though you were vocal about your pregnancy being miserable, i was in shock when you told us about your symptoms & i don’t think you (and other women) get enough credits for going through something like that. easier said than done, but please don’t gaslight yourself ❤
Flynn is so good in front of the camera and amazing and such a natural and very mature 🎄☃️☃️❤️❤️☃️🌨️🌨️🌨️🎄☃️🌨️🌨️🎄🎄☃️🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎁💚❄️❄️❄️❄️💚💚☃️☃️☃️🎄🎄🎄❤️🌨️🌨️🌨️🎁🎁🎁
I work at a hospital. You were not wasting anyone’s time. They naturally order their care of patients by priority anyway, and they are going to be there whether any patients walk through the door or not. I’m really sorry that the doctor didn’t take you seriously and it’s also OK to feel like a doctor is not taking you seriously and to feel angry about that and you don’t need to feel embarrassed or like you’re wasting his time because you’re not, if anything he’s wasting your time. You PAID to be there.
I guess I'm fine! My body just decided to not work for a couple days! Has this ever happened to you guys? Or am I the only dramatic person in the room?

This was literally exactly how I felt with Covid 😭

Erik leaning down and farting is so funny 😂😂 I absolutely have done that 😂😂
@1:50 I experience this regular due to bad mono in 2013 and long covid.... Maybe look into those !❤❤
Sounds like mono. But. Norovirus is going around bad bad I guess.
i felt this way a few months ago, & went to urgent care hoping to get some bloodwork done bc i just felt awful. no sickness, just awfulllll, couldn't explain it. it had to be something bad, right? she sent me home with zyrtec & ibuprofen....... i was fine the next day.

Feel better Colleen! So sorry you’re going through this especially since it’s almost Christmas!
I went to hospital thinking something was wrong with me , they did some tests and turns out I’m just dramatic 🤭
Whats getting worse is that they need to teach doctors manners! Glad you are feeling better
Aww Flynn is so cute. "Over here we have the piano shop" (It's a little cocktail bar, kid!)
Praying that you are okay

PRIORITIZE SLEEP COLLEEN!! Sleep is SO important for your physical and mental health!!
that has happened to me so many times! Usually due to a lot of stress. It feels as like your body shutting down and you can't function.
Hiii did you take a Covid test? Extreme fatigue is sometimes the first symptom
I get this. I have fibromyalgia and I get completely wiped at Christmas. My body just says no and have to take it very slow and rest alot, which is horrible during such a busy month x

Colleen just take care of yourself ❤ you are worth it..
so happy to hear you are feeling better!
Hope you feel better soon 🫶🫶
I’ve went to the hospital once with so much pain in my back, it woke me up out of my sleep. I was told it was a panic attack. I mentioned what if it was my gallbladder? He ignored me. I was back the following night the same doctor was there, ran more test, the next time he came in he brought the general surgeon bc my gallbladder needed to be taken out asap 😒
Always listen to your body no matter what!
Erik accidentally farting and you saying "you're at that age?" had me rolling! 🤣🤣
I’ve never been so early!!!!
me either 😂
Omg sameeee
Hope you'll be able to enjoy your Christmas next week. Feel better soon Colleen.
Oh my gosh I hope you’re doing better!!
Stress and lack of sleep can cause so many problems. Spending time in nature away from electricity and the internet for 3 to 4 days can help to reset the nervous system and help the body de-stress and heal itself. Sometimes the body can get stuck in fight or flight.
i think in the beginning your “nauseas without nausea” is malaise. underused word but i learned it recently 😂❤ love you i hope you’re okay
I'm sorry to everyone out there that goes through this❤
Look up dysautonomia. You have so many symptoms. Sending you love.
OMG Colleen i hope you are feeling much better sending you a lot of good vibes 👍😁
How fun 😌 I'm glad you are feeling better ❤️
This happened to me also, and they were panic attacks. My body suppressed the stress and them it came out like that.
Colleen! The sound those tamagotchi buttons made took me right back to 1998!!!
Sending so much love your way 🥰🥰🙏🏻🙏🏻🤍🤍🥺🥺
Flynn vlogging is everything ❤ Hes gotten so big! 😢❤
Omg I have had the same symptoms all week. I mean exactly how you explained it, crazy.
Flynn is so good with the camera. The twins are getting so big. Time flies.
It’s never a waste of time when your health is in question.
Hope you feel better soon Colleen ❤
you gave BIRTH and never made a big deal about it & even though you were vocal about your pregnancy being miserable, i was in shock when you told us about your symptoms & i don’t think you (and other women) get enough credits for going through something like that. easier said than done, but please don’t gaslight yourself ❤
Flynn is so good in front of the camera and amazing and such a natural and very mature 🎄☃️☃️❤️❤️☃️🌨️🌨️🌨️🎄☃️🌨️🌨️🎄🎄☃️🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎁💚❄️❄️❄️❄️💚💚☃️☃️☃️🎄🎄🎄❤️🌨️🌨️🌨️🎁🎁🎁
Did they check your vitamins and iron?
I would get the lumps checked out on your neck! These could be serious. I hope you feel better soon!
I had this as signs of depression; body aches and fatigue and sleep
5:55 this whole situation infuriates me. I am so angry they treated you like that.
I work in health care and you wouldn't believe what people come in for so girl you had reason!!! Do not feel bad!!❤❤❤
I had that recently as well. My mom and bf, and son had it as well. Its very weird. But i know exactly what you're talking about
I work at a hospital.
