Prisca...my advice ...when we grow older, we need a bigger bathroom. And when we become seniors, we need a bathroom where we can have supports to help us stand and also should we need assistance, then the bathroom can comfortably fit one or two helpers. For now, since it is very narrow ...just keep the entrance free.. a door will make the space smaller.
