@@autoraiinternational Ye, that confused me too, in the video you said if you want a 7-seater you have to go for the diesel, plugin hybrid or the mild hybrid...
How it drives when battery charges out. Will it become a self charging hybrid like innova hycross ? OR it becones a petrol only car with 1.5 tsi OR it will become a mild hybrid ?
The battery never goes completely flat. The electric motor is built into the gearbox so when the petrol engine fires up it drives the wheels and the motor which acts as a generator. The system is even clever enough to use the electric motor for enging braking so you get regenerative braking to charge the battery.
Received mine this week, great car, lovely tech, very comfortable and nice to drive. There is one thing really bugging me, you can’t schedule the charging to take advantage of cheap night time rates, a huge omission IMO. I probably wouldn’t have gone for it if i’d know.
In India we use 3 people in back usually, I sat in Octavia with high bump floor in middle this is painful. Not sure why Škoda designs this high bump . Can’t they avoid
@autoraiinternational Tell me please about urban and extraurban/highway fuel consumption? I am curious about it especially with an empty battery considering 1.5 petrol engine is quite a small one, in my opinion, for this almost 2000 kg car...
@@autoraiinternational wpuld that mean that at highway speeds it will feel underpowered? Think above 100-120 km/h you will only run on ICE 1.5 TSI engine..

At 6.00 min. I wonder: why do car journalists find the acceleration of a car important? 🥱. In real life people rarely accelerate the pedal to the metal. 🤔. Your English is pretty good though. 😎
Love the car. Your reviews are excellent, and your English is better than most English people I know ;)
Does anybody know what is the max speed that can be reached only with electric mode? What is the actual limit where the petrol engine will switch in?
It is 140 on the other phev cars so maybe a bit less since it is a bigger car.
3:21 - Sorry, that's a bit confusing. Are you saying you can or you can't get a plug in hybrid with 7 seats?
Cannot. Only the mild hybrid and regular petrol and diesel versions fit 7 seats.
@@autoraiinternational Gah that is so annoying! That's exactly the variant that i am looking for. This was almost perfect

What can be the range of battery in a hybrid mode? In pure electric mode it`s more or less clear, but hybrid?

The battery never actually goes completely flat, around 5kW is hidden and used to make it perform like a hybrid car.

fast charge in plug sounds great

update will come in october
Wait, what? How come? My previous gen Superb phev has it but the new lineup does not? That doesn't sound right.
@@uramalakia I'm told its coming as a software update towards the end of the year, very frustrating!
Just ordered the steel grey plugin hybride.

That is called the transmission tunnel, which houses the transmission in the car. Of course they cannot avoid this.

How much can it pull?
It can charge while using the petrol motor
is it only 2 front wheels drive or the electrical drives rear wheels (like in volvo plug in)?
Front wheel drive.
Was the enginer power enough? Did you feel it being not powerful enough or was it ok?
It was perfect. All this car needs. The mild-hybrid (150 hp) however - which I also drove - felt a little underpowered ...
@@autoraiinternational Did you try to drain the battery completely and check how it performs in that setup?

So you can get 7 seats on the PHEV or not?!
No, you cannot
For the huge price(60k euro), NO, it's not the perfect family SUV.
60k is basically full option, starting price will be around 10-15k lower.
@@autoraiinternational no, they're not. In Romania normal petrol it's 37k which it's huge for the normal mold hybrid

here plug-in starts at 46000 eur in sport line trim

No seat 7 that’s rubbish 😢 I thought they would make a 7 seats plug in hybrid 😢
Goed Engels. Dapper
Ugly car!The previous generations they were beautiful.
The rear lights are not nice, I did not like the two-piece shape
They really need to work on the design, specially the front. It is very ugly.
Have you seen bmw ?:)
nearly all new car are becoming more and more ugly and expensive and crappy materials
