    Here in Russia, in early 90s, we dont have consoles that was sold in US or in Japan in 80-90. Like Famicom or NES. We have pirate version of it, and all of us think that is a true licension product. Even on TV this console advertise like a real original and non pirate. It called Dendy. And it was chinese or taiwan copy of NES. And all of the games ofcaurse was pirate for it. And this game - Ninja Gaiden, was one of cople games, with protection of copying. Like DRM. There is NO power ups on levels at all, no items, no heals, nothing. And on second level was one item, that fall from the lantern, if you take it - game will crash and delete all your saves. I know that is pain to read what i write because i am realy bad in english... Sorry...

      Same in Poland. The main local Famiclone was called Pegasus, and you'd have to buy games from Ukrainians at the local bazaars, mostly. SNES pretty much never reached here at all, Nintendo doesn't really care about the region very much at this point. We didn't have most Sega consoles, like Sega Master System, at all either. In general, console gaming here boils down to Sony/Microsoft nowadays. Sony owns the console market and reigns supreme, with almost no competition. Pretty much every console by every other manufacturer bombed completely (such as Switch lately), with the Famiclones being the only exception to the rule. PC gaming, on the other hand, has been going strong as long as I can remember.

    Had this game, since I was 11 or 12 and I'm 36 next month and still have never beat this game, been close but never ever got past the last stage. This lad makes it look like a cake walk!!!

      Red Deviltillidie!!! Ha! That’s funny you mention that. I’m 35 in a month, and I’ve also been playing it since I was 11 or 12. However, I FINALLY beat it about 2 years ago. Pretty much took me 20 years of my life to beat.

      The final stretch is insane. Having to go through those two hardest levels and then fight that boss. Knowing that if you die you will have to go all the way back. I grinded this game for a week and finally rage quit after getting to the final boss a few times and failing (I did not get to the 2nd form and bearly damaged the first).

    You make this game look easy. But I know the truth - this is one of the most frustratingly difficult games I've ever played on one of the consoles known for frustratingly difficult games.
    Well done!

    In a way, I'm more impressed by this run because of that mistake early on, because of the way it screwed up the RNG and made things harder to predict.

    How does he get so many hits in on the final boss #2 in one jump? I don't think he just presses the button faster, is it autofire or some kind of exploit thing

    • @stevenvinson1615
      @stevenvinson1615 4 года назад

      If you press the down button after slashing, it cancels the slash animation. There's a way to hold the controller where you mash on the slash and down button and it does that.

    So, there are people who have had this game SINCE IT CAME OUT, and still NEVER beaten it. one of the most notable ones is Angry Video Game Nerd. The game came out in 1989,so like, 28-29 YEARS? Aaaaand this guy can beat it in a little over 12 minutes. G freaking G...

    • @ToyKeeper
      @ToyKeeper 6 лет назад

      Wow, failing to beat it for decades? I rented it and completed it the same day. Then later a friend bought a copy and sometimes we'd take turns going through it when we were bored. I mean, it's hard, but it's not 28-29 years hard. That reminds me of a different friend who had such a hard time with Mario 3 that he only ever finished it once, and he had to leave his NES on for more than a week to do it. Dude was ridiculously good at Tetris, but not much else.

    • @DaLooseGoose11
      @DaLooseGoose11 6 лет назад

      same day? wat the fuck. it took me like 5 days of practice. still, less than a week lmao. Beat it again in the same two weeks :D it was very hard, but i've definitely played harder games

    • @ToyKeeper
      @ToyKeeper 6 лет назад +1

      That was my hobby for a while, back when rental games were a thing. Rent a game, beat it, take it back the next day. I went through most of Nintendo's US catalog that way. Later when emulators were a thing, I got some old games out for nostalgia, but they were too easy so I started adding extra rules to better fit the emulator style of playing. Like, instead of merely getting through a game, I had to get through it without getting hit even once, and without using save states more often than once or twice per minute.
      This style of gameplay eventually became sort of its own thing, with games like Super Meat Boy and Dustforce and Celeste. It's great fun. Now my current challenge is to see how fast I can get through Celeste. I think I'm getting old though... because it still takes me an hour, while the world record is half that.

    • @ToyKeeper
      @ToyKeeper 6 лет назад +1

      Videos from the 1980s / 1990s? LOL. I was just a little girl then, killing time when I wasn't busy with school.
      As for newer stuff like Celeste, an hour isn't a good enough time to even bother. Lots of people can run it in an hour. I'm only mediocre at this stuff. I can't even use the D-pad for long any more, since I injured my thumb like 15 years ago, so I'm stuck using a joystick... and that makes precision platformers difficult.
      If you want to see someone who is actually worth watching, look up TGH's Celeste runs. He does Any% in 30:47 and All Red Berries in 56:58. His red-berry run is faster than my Any%, despite picking up 177 more items than I do.
      Or, in a couple days when the video comes out, watch the TGH-vs-YP Celeste run from SGDQ 2018. It shows the world's top two players racing and has useful commentary to help people understand what's going on. Kind of embarrassing for yp though, since TGH screws around doing high-risk crowd pleaser moves and still wins by a significant margin.

    If you hammer the start button you get the same seed every time.

    • @neoxaquas
      @neoxaquas 6 лет назад

      DThat "seed" is actually the global timer which cycles every 4 seconds or so. By starting immediately you place yourself at a specific spot on that timer. If you don't keep a steady pace you won't see the reward of this manipulation.
