Thanks man! While my DJI FPV collects dust I've been flying this lil beast in acro, which inturn means some damage to the props. Was wondering about prop options and how to change them on the Pavo20
You just hold the motors and spin the props off the drone it’s a little hard. They do sell little prop tools to use to remove them but I never used them. As for props the only props I have ever ran on the Pavo are the 3blades and the ones the Pavo comes with from the factory.
Yeah Thanks!! I'm definitely getting those props to check out for my pavo, also I've notice the wind screws with the pavo big time where I'm at so I've lately I've changed the rates for indoor for practicing cine flying -> still a beginner. BTW I use your launch pad every time 👍👍
Hey man could you please recommend rates for indoor? It’s been hella windy for the past few days but I can’t get myself to fly my Pavo indoors. Just hovering is very difficult and I always end up crashing. I’m with stock rates so far.
Hey, I found using a heavier battery can help a bit if the wind is a problem, thought I'd mention in case you hadnt tried it. I had the same issue with the pavo in Scotland.... where it is permanently windy.
Try flying at 4k60fps, 1/20 shutter and make sure when exporting your videos be sure to have your fps in sequence settings to the same exact number you have your fps which is 60.
I put some 5 blades on mine and it does pretty good. The two blades just don’t do good. I just ordered some of the 2023 3 blades and I’ll get to try them out tomorrow.
Hi do you have the video as you have changed the propellers from 2 to 3 propellers, I have problems with my configuration in betaflight and I can't get the flight up I think the spin of the motors I have configured wrong.
My pavo 20 is in the same setup.... even with the pink 3blades haha. I haven't felt like putting the 2 blade props back on. I was flying in the Scottish highlands last week with this setup and it was like 30 mph winds and I was able to just about manage.
The Pavo 20 is so much fun to fly. It's like the perfect combination of tiny but still powerful. I haven't tried any freestyle props on mine, but the Gemfan 4 bladed ducted props are great! So far, I've tried the Gemfan ducted 3, 4, and 5 bladed props as well as the HQ 3 and 4 bladed, ducted props.
@jcsuarez73 BetaFPV mentions Gemfan 2020s (4 blades) as an option. Haven't seen anyone else review them, but I think I'll give those a try. Also the prop diameter is the smallest being 4 blades. A tinsy bit more wiggle room in the ducts.🤷
Update: Gemfan 2020s 4 blades are very nice! Much quieter and performance is greatly improved. More stable hover, faster, quicker response etc. Downside is slightly less flight time. 30 seconds to a minute less.
I got my props installed and it flies much better, but I use up a battery in less than 2 mins!! I’m still flying stock motors with a 3s battery. Do I need to get 4s batteries or upgrade the motors to get more flight time now?
Thanks guys. I was pretty surprised with how loud the Pavo20 was when I first got it (this is my first drone) so I was curious if it could be made a bit quieter to minimise the Karen factor. I've also heard that removing the prop guards can reduce the noise a bit as well.
@@Mmd8bn w the 4 bladed props (gemfan 2020 4 bladed props) I can guarantee it will be quieter! And my guess is that 3 bladed has to be also quieter. I definitely noticed it when I went to 4 blades and that’s one of the main reasons I kept them. I believe the more blades reduce your efficiency so in theory shorter flights but I haven’t noticed any noticeable change
Dude, you've been teaching me everything!! Thanks so much for your videos!
Thanks for watching more vids to come!
Looks like a fun lil drone to rip around. I just bought a Flylens 85 without the O3. This making wish I got one of these instead.
it looks like there is a lot of prop wash with those 3 blade props on buddy i think that's why they made them 2 blade from stock
Is that why the new Pavo 20 pro now has 3 blades?
@@spencersuislide4984 the pavo20 was pid tuned for 2 blade props the pro is tuned for 3
I bought a Pavo20 and I was thinking of putting 4 blades on it, what do you suggest, 3 or 4?
@@FPVFRASHA honestly I wasn’t really feelin it until I saw this and ended up getting these blades and I absolutely love it now
I'm new to fpv and digging your content. Keep it coming thanks!
Stay tuned more content on the way!

Hell yea the launch pad is so fun it’s better to be able to take the drone off in manual rather than horizon mode to level it out

I will definitely try that thanks for the tip

Hell yea man this setup flys pretty well
How do you change the propellers out on this drone? Can you do a video on that process?
Yea I can make a vid all I do tho is hold the motor and spin the prop off they are pretty tight so it is kinda a pain sometimes
@@954Film I got my new props yesterday but I had no idea the stock props came off that easy. I’ll give that a try, thanks!
@@cadger10 no problem
Pick up a Gemfan Proplocket, it makes changing props a little easier. There are other prop removal tools, too, but the prop locket is the one I use.

Hell yea what is your favorite one you have ran on it?
Whata your favorite?
HQ Quad Blades
I bought a Pavo20 and I was thinking of putting Gemfan 4 blades on it, what do you suggest, 3 or 4?
@jcsuarez73 I went with the triblade and have been pretty happy eith it! The only down side to me was battery died a little faster
For ducted 2" quads, these gemfan 2023s have been one of my favorites! Very efficient too.
and with this one you can actually take off the ducts, breaks really easy tho so.
Wich battery do u reccomand? Also im courious how it will be fly with the 4 blades or even the 8 prop 😂😂 i think it will be fun
Looks nice I need one

I liked the way the 3 blades performed on the drone. But I never tryed 4 blades.

The quad isn’t rated for 4s. Stick with 3s. I use a 550 mah and get consistent 4:50 min.
Had the same issue 2 mins flight. Your props are mounted upside down. You have to mount the props logo facing the sky
Yahoo..I gotcha buddy.. Been lurking for a while now.. Lol.. I'm also playing with the same birds.. Lol.. Love the pico...pavo 25 V2 on it's way.. Lol

@@PhillyDroneLifeno. please don’t fly anymore.
stock tune?
Yes
The link you posted for the props have 3 holes. Do they still fit?
Yes you just use the center hole
Is it any quieter or louder with the three blades?
I am using 4 bladed props and it’s definitely quieter than 2 bladed props. My guess is 3 blades must be in the middle.
I would say it’s about the same to be honest maybe a little quieter
