      THe funny thing about these comments, is there's *at least* one under every youtube guitar tutorial. Making it possibly the 2nd most worthless comment after "first".

    As I've said it before, to play it correctly you either need to A:"sell the kids for food"
    Or B:"be sold as a kid for food"

    Hey thanks I used to think the 4th bends were so weird that they were odd bended tritones so thank you very much. I must say though that I am positive that after the 11-13 riff kurt kits an (intentional or not) open D as a pull of from the end of the last note on 13. I've examined this guitar solo for a long time and you gave me the ability to feel I fully comprehend it now so thank you so much!

      @@scratchlizard9544 Power chords can be played all over the fret board based on the finger setup so no it's not wrong, but you already know everything about that right?

    • @f.md.pranto
      @f.md.pranto 4 года назад +6

      Guitar notes repeat many times over the fretboard.
      Before learning more songs, you should learn about naming chords.

    Kurt really didn't give a shit if the chords he used fit in same scale together. It just goes to show that sometimes learning musical Theory can hinder your songwriting.

    • @DizzyD2
      @DizzyD2 5 лет назад +9

      I wouldn't say it hinders it. I think it's more accurate to say that it isn't necessary for songwriting. And he might have even understood the musical theory and purposefully not followed it to create an effect. There is no excuse really for not learning theory

  • @wadem4503
    @wadem4503 5 лет назад

    Possibly silly question: How come sometimes on the higher strings of the chord you use 2 fingers and sometimes you bar it? I know its the same difference but is one technically more the right way than the other?

    • @thedude2122
      @thedude2122 5 лет назад +1

      Wade M technically the right way of playing power chords is with the two fingers but Kurt played his with the barre and sometimes barred 3 strings with his third finger although this was mostly on accident
      Tbh I prefer playing with two fingers and the accidental barring sounds cool

    • @markcassidy3608
      @markcassidy3608 6 лет назад

      You try NOT to do those squeak noises lol.It's when you slide your fingers on the strings,but you need to completely take your fingers off then back on.Sometimes though,it DOES sound better with the squeak,play for a few more months and it will be plain as day to you.
