I'm so glad I stumbled across this video! I am about to start on hormone patches and I go swimming everyday!😂
Word of advice. They are NOT waterproof at ALL!!!!
You will have to cover them. Otherwise they will get washed away and you will have no benefits. You will have back your symptoms.
I thought it should not go above the waist? (Patches)
Agreed . My patch leaflet says only apply below the waist
This video is talking about the Gel NOT patches@@lynnlees5608
I apply it above the waist because I take baths daily. It works just fine.
She talking specifically about the gel here. Patches are below the waist
it shouldn't. it should be as far from the breast as possible
Where exactly on the buttock? I tried to do the lower stomach, but due to my C-section mommy pouch it fell off.
Thank you
I do this all the time. Still alive.
I swim everyday- what about that? I put a waterproof cover on it- but then it gets waterlogged bc of sweat.
Who has an hour to let it absorb 🤔
With these symptoms I’ll hang upside down for 24 hrs if it means the patch will rid these symptoms.
@@boundariessetinstone5893I heard that, same here.
Patches will definitely help. Just DON'T wet them. They get washed away and you will feel the symptoms!!!!
Some patches are better than others. I have to replace my patch every 3 days, I live in Aus so I'm showering everyday. Estradot stick brilliantly , Estraderm not so much.
Thankyou so much for this but can you please tell me do you rub the gel in or put a thin layer and wait until dry because I’m not sure please help me ❤
You rub it in until it's almost gone. Outer arms shoulder to elbow or inner upper thighs
@@archieboo7001 thanks 💕
I saw a youtube video just recently from a doc. who just went on th Gel manufacturers seminar saying Absolutely DO NOT rub in, just swipe it down the outer shoulder & arm 3-4 times then leave to try?!! I am seeing so much conflicting advice I am just doing what makes sense to me 🤨
I just have to know why they picked outer arms and inner thighs? Is it optimal absorbtion, convenience, dose optimisation? Back of my legs and front of my whole arm seem like good absorbative (not tough skin or rubbing thighs) to me. I choose my areas because i also need to moisturise dry outer skin. I avoid boobs, of course. The gel seems to get along with my skin better (no allergy like the patches) but why not spread on the tummy? I am not doing that, but know not why.
For more info, the patch I am not allergic to is out of supply.
Please, why the tougher outer arms and super soft inner thighs??? I want to put it on my inner arms or back.
Hi. My only question is if a gel is applied on face, how much of it should be used? And can the gel be mixed with a face cream and then applied? I just need these answered please. How much is safe?
I really hope you don't mean applying HRT gel to your face
@C.Market-x5f, that was my question. Didn’t you read it?
You DO NOT apply HRT gel on your FACE.
It applies on your body. Upper arms, bum, belly, inner legs. Always where you have a bit of fat and definitely NOT to mix with anything. It is chemically manufactured!!!
But doctor, I have pills.
You should get it in a cream or patch form. Pills are the worst form.
@@Pip734 I read that the patch is the same as pills.
Both have the same risks and benefits.
I asked the pharmacy and went online.
I'm on the patch and I'm thinking about switching to pills.
@@Pip734
Why do you say that? I had to switch from patch to Bio identical pill due to an allergy to sticky parts of patch.
Because pills go through the liver. @@mymichiganmittens
Yes I agree. For two patches I am also allergic, but the smaller one I am not. Thank goodness, I didn't want to be on the tabs for years.@@mymichiganmittens
Rub in or leave to dry please?
Rub in
Hello! I just realized that I accidentally forgot to remove my old HRT patch and had been wearing 2 patches for 2 days before I realized it. Is there any harm in it since it was an old patch? Please advice. Thank you!
No, no worries, not if it's only two days
If the patch was overdue has nothing to give any more. The colour of it changes from transparent to cloudy. It means it's used up. It's like having an old plaster on. No harm.
Leave it for an hour? That’s a totally impractical advice in my colder climate. No gel company would have that as a part of an application otherwise nobody would use gels.
can we apply to inner thighs?
She says inner thighs in the video
Yes
