Alessandria Intermodal Hub

The project, launched by the FS Italiane Group in 2023, involves the construction of an Innovative Railway Yard, which will also function as Genoa's backport thanks to its direct connection to the Giovi Third Tunnel, and the transformation of areas complementary to it. The latter, of about 800,000 square meters, are the subject of a Call for Tenders published by FSSU aimed at identifying the Transformation Vision that contemplates areas for freight exchange and storage, ecologically equipped production areas, urban areas with mixed functions, and a public park.
