Go gently on yourself, Gemma. Hormones are really rough for us women and I've suffered so badly myself so I know what you're going through. What made a real improvement for me was having more protein in my diet and also just going easier on myself. Take good care of yourself, Gemma, and I really do hope the heaviness clears for you soon xx
Every woman can empathize. Taking gentle moments to gather your gratitude will lift your inner space…and happy, sweet Gemma will emerge♥️ We all just love you💐
Hi Gemma! I’m sorry that you are experiencing a hormonal imbalance. I did too until I found a nurse practitioner that tested and treated my condition with bio-identical hormones. Previously, I tried everything else under the planet and nothing really helped me with my hormone madness until I gave this a try. I am now 67 but in many ways I feel like I’m 47 and even younger. I feel great!! There is a learning curve regarding bio-identical hormones so if you can get educated by reading books on this subject and find the right doctor or nurse practitioner you will start and continue to feel better than you ever imagined! On a whole other level, I watch your channel all the time and think that you and your mother are not only amazing people but you two are beautiful as well. ❤ Best of luck to you!
Hi Gemma. I know exactly how you feel when you say a little bit of makeup does make a difference in your mood. You've taken a few minutes to yourself and it feels good ❤
Self-neglect is a real thing, so I have just been learning! For me a big one is skipping makeup even though I love it. But I _always_ feel better when I do it so I’ve been making an effort to at least do something every day. A 5-minute routine feels doable and not overwhelming. ❤
I can completely empathise, Gemma. Just a little pamper to feel a bit better always helps me too. Thank you for sharing this with us. Sending big hugs❤❤
Feeling the same Gemma! Not an anxious or emotional normally but have been severely anxious over the last couple of weeks which has come as a shock and even been signed off work 😔 I'm 47 so I'm convinced it's hormonal. I love the erborian cc cream, have been using it for years. I tend to mix the Clair and Dore shades. Thanks for sharing x
Gemma I hope you feel better soon! Personally I hate February. I think it's a bit of a seasonal depression thing for me. Take care of yourself, whatever that looks like for you!
You have been under immense stress, with your physical and mental health and the perimenopause is the sodding icing on the cake! Trying to juggle family life, work and your health can be so difficult. You know I totally relate. Take a breather and try and remember what you have achieved and try to accept what you can't control. It is hard, but we are all here to support each other. Much love to you Gemma and everyone here.❤❤❤😘
I think it's easy to let you be less of a focus when times are stressful. I don't have children, so I'm in a position where I don't have little people to look after, but I still tend to look after myself less during stress. Make up can make such a difference, because when you feel like you look better on the outside, you feel better on the inside. Take care Gemma ❤
I’m glad your five-minute-makeup cheered you up 😊. Re the art query you had, I think The Range have a very wide selection. Nice big canvases and artwork with texture too. Maybe a bit of time out to work on a small piece yourself. I find crafting very therapeutic 😊
I'm a great believer in having a good cry when needed . I look like 😖 after it but I feel better for it x Really large print of each of the children for a wall covering .
Huge hug Gemma…it’s probably a combination of everything that’s going on in your life. Please take the time you need look after yourself. I take half an hour out of every day and listen to a guided meditation on RUclips with a face mask on….its my sanity keeper. Love your content and you ❤
Lovely easy look! I’m away to try this. I’m a big believer in remembering to do some self care sometimes as life is so busy. I’d love to see you create some of your own art work!!
It's that time of year too. I'm in the crapper too. Not sleeping, eating etc.... so ur not alone. Thank u for sharing and being honest. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have been using Erborian Skin Therapy Night Oil (an 2 phase light weight oil) about 2-3 nights a week, for a few weeks. Really amazing and affordable. I layer it with my usual moisturizer and wake up with plumped up well moisturized skin. You might like this Erborian product too. I have very sensitive skin that doesn’t react well to heavy creams and balms. So happy with this product.
I bought that cc cream recently and it`s true. It`s your skin but better and you get a beautiful look, quickly in the morning, when you have to go to work.
I am quite well Gemma, thank you for asking ❤ I am on a journey to more health this year. I try to improve my gut health and I try to get my hormones in balance again. I eat a lot of flax seeds, I take shatavari powder (as mentioned earlier) and I will try to stop taking contraceptiva again and hope for less PMS than in my last try 10 years ago (couldn't live with myself then). I want to get back to a natural cycle with all good and bad. I hope the shatavari and older age will help with the PMS. My better half hopes that as well 😅
Hi, Gemma! Last week I told you I'd ordered the Givenchy Prisme Libre powder and it finnaly arrived. It is everything you said it woul be - including the undereye area!! I bought this product because your review and I'm so happy I did it! Thank you so much for the excellent recommendation and for your lovely videos! 🥰🥰 I definetly would try that Erborian CC Cream if they retaild in Brazil... It's good to know you're recovered from the messy times of constructions; if there's one thing we should NEVER do is to neglect ourselves - for any reason at all! The good news is that no one could tell you did it, because you are always so beautiful and so smiling!!
Hi Gemma. Went through the same thing during perimenopause. A friend told me about a supplement (Cleanmarine Menomin). Not sure if you can get it in England, but it was a game changer. Was able to cope so much better. I hope you feel more yourself soon.
I just purchased the Pat McGrath blush balm in divine rose and I am obsessed with it! I am a blush and lipstick girl and it makes me happy especially on down days. You look beautiful!
I do that Gemma….although I’m 67…some days you can feel just flat, id call it, and can’t get yourself to do anything, and it can last for a good few days…hope you are feeling better now..x
Hi Gemma- I’m coeliac and really get like that - a low mood/hormonal feeling- when I’ve been glutened. Usually a couple of days after and once the fatigue bit subsides. Not sure if that observation helps or resonates but thought I’d share - hoping you feel better very soon ❤
You look lovely Gemma..a great and speedy look. Glad it helped you feel better. It’s been a crazy time with the build etc, and didn’t you have pneumonia too? You’ve been under so much mental and physical stress for so long it’s no wonder you’re feeling off kilter! Hormones don’t help but we’re build to go through menopause…we’re not built to take non-stop busyness and stress! You seem to pack a whole lot into a day. Glad you’re taking some time out to look after yourself. Keep doing it..I’m sure the children…and the man…are well able to take on some more chores and tasks! In this age of enlightened equality, it’s amazing how many women still bear the brunt of so much! I love your videos and enjoy trying some of the products, mostly lower end, that you recommend. Looking forward to seeing your Mum back too..maybe a 5 minute make up on her..I’m 65 so always interested to see how things work on her! Take good care. ❤🏴❤
I’m sorry you are having to go through how you are feeling Gemma. It’s not a good place to be. One thing someone told me as I suffer from depression is that it will pass. It doesn’t make it any easier at the time but what you are feeling will go away. You are a beautiful human being so please be kind to yourself. You have been through a stressful time altering your house and stress comes out in many forms. Please know I think the best of you and I do value what your opinion on your channel. Thank you. May you all please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
You and I are the same age and I've been on HRT for four years now. I may be telling you something you already know, but perimenopause can start from late thirties and early forties onwards. HRT makes a huge difference to me, recommend those of similar age to consider it. Start tracking your symptoms and approach your GP. Xx
Thanks for all your posts they’re so helpful and informative and make me try new products and looks. I use the Eborian BB cream and would love it if you could do a what’s the difference with that and the CC version - genuinely one of the best products out there particularly for mature skin. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s a little bit of therapy for all of us followers ❤
As you might remember I am Erborian CC Cream biggest fan and now seeing you use it I am even more convinced. You look fantastic with this make up look. I don't know if it is just me but I find people look so much better with the more natural look if their skin permits it and your skin does. Ditch that heavy full coverage Gemma and embrace your natural beauty. Give Ralph a kiss a cuddle from me here in Italy. I have a 6 month old English Bull Terrier puppy it is like living with a Velociraptor!!!!
I hear you Gemma, it’s so important to sometimes just stop and take care of yourself. I’m just recovering from Sudden hearing loss, had a course of steroids, plus I came off HRT a couple of months ago and the hot flashes are back as bad as ever. The last few days I’ve not put any makeup on which is really unusual for me. To top it all I’ve now got a gastric flu bug. I’ve called in sick and I’m going to do exactly what you did in this video, have a little pamper! Thanks for the idea, I know it will certain lift me❤ Ooo I just put that Maybelline brow product in my cart! Was so happy to find it available here!!
Fab look! Have you tried the Colorescience lip shine? I like the shade coral for everyday SPF protection and a bit of shimmery colour. I think it would work well with that lip liner. Thank you very much for sharing-I can totally relate and glad that you got the little boost you needed today 💞
You look lovely Gemma, such a natural look. Think you have a bit of PTS…….you have held everything together for so long and now it’s done, you are relaxing a bit and the stress is coming out. Be kind to yourself……we all love you…xx
Hi Gemma, renos can do that to a person, I did renovated my home a few years back and when I see pictures of the "before" I still feel like crying, tons of work, I am happy with the result but it was about 6 months of stress, choices, people in and out, messes all over the place and like you, I was so tired that anything more I had to do for myself it was gone...pamper yourself, hug your kids ( if they let you , lol ) your husband and your pet, that make up is very casual and very nice, I have to have that CC cream, it's amazing, I hope Sephora sells it because we have no Ulta here in Canada...thanks Covid for that disaster ...stay well.
Thank you for sharing with us Gemma, you aren't alone. Question: Do you put your hair mask on dry hair before shampooing? My lacklustre locks need Help!
Gemma, I think every woman can empathize. I was thrown into menopause quite young due to cervical cancer treatment. Even with HRT it’s been a roller coaster. Be gentle on yourself xxx
I haven't noticed any lash or brow growth but definitely chin hairs. I do think massaging peptides in my lash and brow has made them a tad fuller. IDK I've been down with the stomach bug so I feel my routine has been trash . Hope you feel better soon
Sorry you are not feeling great Gemma. I'm in Canada and it's the winter blues for me. Have you tried taking Vitamin D? I find it makes a big difference. I hope you feel better soon ❤
Can anyone tell me the main difference between the cc and bb cream? I have oily skin. Which one controls oil better? Love this natural look Gemma. Just what I want for summer and outdoor activities. Thank you. ❤
Hi Gemma, I’m a fairly new sub to your chanel & have been binge watching your uploads😃I wondered if you could give any tips on good nail varnish & top coat for nails or even if you have uploads on your channel covering this? I also wanted to let you know that I’m really interested in make-up again since coming across your channel & have already started buying products you have reviewed. I have always worn make-up from teen years but haven’t for the past 5 years. I really do agree that make-up does make you feel much better in oneself😍I love your channel, expertise & most importantly; honesty! Sending🤗&💖
Do you think it's possible it might have been stopping your vitamins that has caused this shift? Your body was used to having extra support, and then it didn’t. I know stopping a daily medication often results in changes, maybe its the same way with vitamins? Thanks for sharing your 5 minute makeup routine. I'm going to try it. I'm curious about that CC cream. My 5 minute routine uses only brow gel, mascara, cream blush, and lip gloss. The CC cream would give it an extra polish.
I stopped using my lash serum with hormones more than four weeks ago and I now use a lash serum without hormones. The last time I stopped using lash serum with hormones was two years ago, my extremely long eyelashes fell out and I had short eyelashes for a while like never before. This wasn't a big problem for me because my natural eyelashes were never bad and I knew that they would grow back again. This time my very long eyelashes haven't fallen out so far, and the only two things I do differently are to use the lash serum without Homone and first the LED mask, which I have since replaced with the LED panel from Currentbody. I just want to have a little more power from the LED lamps and the panel can be used much more flexibly for me than the mask alone. So you could be right that the LED mask stimulates eyelash growth somewhat. I mean, there are also LED helmets that are supposed to help with hair loss, and the technology is the same there. Many greetings from Switzerland and I hope you feel better again soon. The last year has been extremely stressful for my husband and I, and I'm still struggling with frequent fatigue to recover from it.
Absolutely love your look, I love the erborian BB cream in nude. I haven’t tried the CC yet. I was wondering if you had ever tried the Laura Geller baked foundation. The reviews say it’s super quick to apply and I was thinking of trying it? As a side note I am 60 so always worry about sitting in lines etc. Thanks for your great content x
Hi Gemma! I am a blush and lip fanatic! I cannot be your friend if you do not wear blush..and wearing a full face of make up with no lips drives me to the edge!😭 hope you feel better soon and you look beautiful!❤
To the Canadian folks in the house, where can we find the Erborian CC and Victoria Beckham products? I can't find either. Canada sucks sometimes. LOL! Also best LED mask available around here
If you want one more opinion… as a fellow celiac, one thing to consider is whether gluten cross contamination may play a role. Every celiac makes different choices, and almost everyone is careful with food, but it is easy to overlook the possibility of cross contamination in the manufacture of lip products. When asked if a lippee is gluten free, many cosmetics companies say they cannot be sure and to consult our doctors about acceptable risk.
Sorry to hear you are down but it will pass ❤ I wanted to know if there is a comparable product to NIOD Superoxide Dismatuse Saccharide Mist that is not quite so expensive? I love this stuff and it really makes me feel refreshed when I and my skin are stressed. Take care and remember we all go through some sort of stage of hormones that make life a little challenging. Take care 😊
Hi Gem - sorry you’ve been feeling crappy recently. Hormones are useless the older we get :( I’m in perimenopause and it’s a bit of a sh*t show! I know this isn’t really a Pampered Wolf thing, and I don’t know what products you have, but I’d love to see your top 10 perfumes? X
Dear Gemma, I can totally understand the mood swings. It was so bad 2 years ago that my husband begged me to change something. I went to a gynaecologist who specialises in menopause and after about 3 months of HRT the mood swings were gone and my husband is now very happy 😂😂😂
Unfortunately, just because we reach menopause, it doesn’t mean our symptoms go away. 😳 The moods, motivation, fragmented and overwhelmed feelings, etc. However, we also need to be good to ourselves. The symptoms we experience are not who we are at our cores.
Is there a CC cream without a benzoate? I’m allergic to this chemical family and quite frankly it is everywhere including food now. Of course I will continue to do research. Thank you for sharing this quick maquillage. I’m a teacher and I like to work smarter and not harder.
I always feel rubbish if I don’t wear make up. I make sure I apply it every day, it’s about self care and confidence and I always feel lifted once it’s done. So strange but true. I think you need a group hug, hormones are a real pain, but you will come out the other side evetually❤
When I was peri-menopausal, one day I had to call my doctor and say if you don't help me I'm gonna end up killing someone for saying hello to me. Please for the love of God do something! LOL😛🤣
I hope you feel better after a little pampering. My husband is a budding artist, very varied stuff.... I am not sure if its your thing - but if you are still looking for art let us know.
Makeup isn’t always vanity or insecurity but just makes us feel good about ourselves 💕
What LED light do you use? Also curious for your opinion on the ritual de fille 3 drop serum foundation?
Every woman can empathize.
Taking gentle moments to gather your gratitude will lift your inner space…and happy, sweet Gemma will emerge♥️
We all just love you💐

Sounds like your body knows it can let down now, so pampering and prioritising yourself more than usual right now is absolutely the best medicine.x
The mascara is brilliant - goes on so quickly and easily and has great coverage. I also love the CC cream- again great coverage and a healthy glow.

Very honest of you to share your feelings Gemma. Life is tough at times especially when we’re not 100% fit. Be kind to yourself. Xxxx

Can anyone tell me the main difference between the cc and bb cream? I have oily skin. Which one controls oil better? Love this natural look Gemma. Just what I want for summer and outdoor activities. Thank you. ❤
Lovely Gemma..consider having this chat with your GP. You will be pleasantly surprised there are easy remedies to helping you feel better.
Nothing ridiculous about selfcare, no matter what it is ! 😉 Take care ! ♥

Unrelated note could u do a video on wedding guest makeup for over 40s? Xx
Sending🤗&💖
In love blush ❤
Laura geller baked ugh awful it's dry and sticks to patches on your skin hard to wear
I'm 79 yrs old and love my makeup. I have wrinkles around my eyes. How do I use makeup and concealer? Thank you in advance.❤
LOL! Also best LED mask available around here
Cult beauty?
If you want one more opinion… as a fellow celiac, one thing to consider is whether gluten cross contamination may play a role. Every celiac makes different choices, and almost everyone is careful with food, but it is easy to overlook the possibility of cross contamination in the manufacture of lip products. When asked if a lippee is gluten free, many cosmetics companies say they cannot be sure and to consult our doctors about acceptable risk.
Do you apply primers after SPF? Does it disrupt the SPF? I never know when to apply
A primer shouldn’t disturb SPF if you’ve let the SPF dry down properly. SPF is always applied last in your skincare routine.

Hang in there this too shall pass 😀
Sorry to hear you are down but it will pass ❤ I wanted to know if there is a comparable product to NIOD Superoxide Dismatuse Saccharide Mist that is not quite so expensive? I love this stuff and it really makes me feel refreshed when I and my skin are stressed. Take care and remember we all go through some sort of stage of hormones that make life a little challenging. Take care 😊
HUGS 💖
Welcome to the menopause Gemma! Sorry to hear you are suffering. Be kind to yourself, we get through it.
🙏❤️
Dear Gemma, I can totally understand the mood swings. It was so bad 2 years ago that my husband begged me to change something. I went to a gynaecologist who specialises in menopause and after about 3 months of HRT the mood swings were gone and my husband is now very happy 😂😂😂
Unfortunately, just because we reach menopause, it doesn’t mean our symptoms go away. 😳 The moods, motivation, fragmented and overwhelmed feelings, etc. However, we also need to be good to ourselves. The symptoms we experience are not who we are at our cores.
Perimenopause?
Yes, I’ve been in perimenopause for a year or two now xxx
@@PamperedWolf It is hard! Maybe talk to your dr about progesterone/estrogen patches! Safer than oral and so so helpful!
Might be time for the HRT if you fancy it 🤷♀️
I rarely do more than this 5 minute look, minus mascara which always runs, but virtually never do less.
Is there a CC cream without a benzoate? I’m allergic to this chemical family and quite frankly it is everywhere including food now. Of course I will continue to do research. Thank you for sharing this quick maquillage. I’m a teacher and I like to work smarter and not harder.
❤️
💕💄
I always feel rubbish if I don’t wear make up. I make sure I apply it every day, it’s about self care and confidence and I always feel lifted once it’s done. So strange but true. I think you need a group hug, hormones are a real pain, but you will come out the other side evetually❤
😊❤
When I was peri-menopausal, one day I had to call my doctor and say if you don't help me I'm gonna end up killing someone for saying hello to me. Please for the love of God do something! LOL😛🤣
Have you tried shatavari yet? it's the ayurvedic plant for women and is known to level the hormones. maybe it helps a bit.
On the lashes, could it be getting back on vitamins.
Yes it could. It could also be my collagen tablets which I’ve been taking since the beginning of December. Good thinking x
I hope you feel better after a little pampering. My husband is a budding artist, very varied stuff.... I am not sure if its your thing - but if you are still looking for art let us know.
