I am a 2016 Olympic Alternate and former NCAA athlete and have deferred my senior year at the University of Utah to come back to elite gymnastics and try for a spot on the 2021 Olympic Team. This channel documents my journey and gives insight into the life of someone preparing for the Olympics!

Seriously you guys are amazing. Mykayla you are truly an inspiration. I'm not even a gymnast, but what you say can apply to so much. Trying hard and doing your best, then accepting the outcome that is meant to be. It's hard to do that.

Mykayla omfg this is so silly but I’m sitting here in tears right now after rewatching your performance from last night. HOLY COW you were on fire last night. Seeing all the wonderful comments and support from everyone to you literally is making my heart melt. I feel like your gymnastics improved a lot since the last olympic trials. I would love to see you at the olympics, you deserve it and you would be an asset to the olympic team. I would also love to see you at maybe worlds or something, do you consider taking part in future competitions or are you really completely moving on from gymnastics after the olympics?
i think that she is going to go back to utah for her last year on the gymnastics team there and then retire from the sport, but things could change of course.

Its 5am where i live and i spent the last 2 hours fangirling and watching you crush day 1, i never wanted a gymnast to make a team more.
I’m sure it’s impossible not to be nervous but enjoy every second of it that you can. You worked so hard and it’s such an honor to be able to compete in two Olympic trials and it is so well deserved. I’m cheering you on and I’m so excited to see you out there! Good luck!!!!
