    Ms Salon Life do you think someone can make a living doing only natural manicures as long as they know how to safely remove all types? I pretty much only see salons and techs talking about their gel and extension manicures

    • @TheSalonLife

      Natural manicures, only would be difficult. Manicures paired with pedicures for sure.

    Your client has beautiful nails, but what a long process! I stopped getting gel manicures and healed my damaged nails with your great advice! I don’t intend to do the gel manicures again unless I’m going on a long vacation and then remove them as soon as I get home!

    • @emiliaescobar7652

      I stopped gel manicures about 3 yrs ago, then got one when I went on vacation 3 mos ago, they told me they wouldn't be using the drill to remove the polish/nor it wouldn't damage my real nail, nope, they used the drill, instead of taking the time to soak them off, I removed it, started soaking my hands in olive oil/salt/water then I used "Nailtique" to get them back to normal, just getting regular manicures going forward, I love how this lady does nails, wish she was in my area, I love the look of gel, but do not like what it does to my natural nails, my nails are back in shape.

    I often wonder why it is that gel manufacturers can't nal down removal easier. They're constantly improving their products but removal is still a PITA.

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife  3 месяца назад +1

      The better the bond, the more difficult the removal. It's very difficult to have both at the same time. Nail techs technique can add to the difficulty though. Thick application or addition of primers where they were not designed does not help.

    I don’t think I will ever go back to gel polish. Dealing with the heat spikes during the curing process to the removal is like a nightmare for me. No matter if I go to a salon or at home process. It’s beautiful after it’s done but the process can be bothersome. I will stick to my Dazzle Dry and ORLY polishes. They last just as long or longer than gel. My nails are healthier too! ☺️ Thanks for all your helpful videos Anna!! P.S. your client’s nails are beautiful 🥰

    Why should people avoid gel manicures. If it is done correctly, there isn’t an issue. If someone doesn’t like gel nails, then don’t do it. But there are people that love gel manicures.

    Не понимаю, чем замачивание ногтей в ацетоне 3 раза лучше, чем один раз аккуратно и деликатно снять мягкой фрезой.. мне кажется замачивание в ацетоне в любом случае, более губительно для ногтей, чем использование фрезы. Если ты умеешь ими пользоваться 😊

    Beautiful work ❤ So, do you avoid doing only OPI gels?

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife  3 месяца назад +2

      No, I avoid removing anything other than CND Shellac. The removal of other gels is quite time consuming and the nails underneath are usually quite damaged which makes then the client not an ideal client for CND Shellac which is a quite gentle product. Removing the product gently takes time and many people expect it done in 5 min and not being charged for it, when in fact it can take 30 min and up to 1 hr and I usually discover quite a damage.
      Not to go into allergenic ingredients issue. Many times people under cure the gels making them still reactive. When you go to file them the uncured and reactive gels ends up on my gloves and acrylates do go through nitrile gloves. Gloves protect from bodily fluids and viruses like warts etc but not acrylates.

    I love watching your videos and techniques. Just wondering if using an orange stick would be easier on the nail than the tool you're using? I see that tool scrapes so much easier than an orange stick probably would but I'm concerned there could be unintentional layers of nail being scraped off. Thoughts?

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife  3 месяца назад +1

      The tool I use it's soft actually. For this type of removal the angle of this tool is better than the orangewood stick I use for Shellac.
      It takes some practice to know how much pressure to use. You need some pressure for sure, this was not coming off on it's own but too much will peel the layers with the product. The tool is not sharp enough to peel the nail though.
