Hey that's a fantastic video. Clear and concise 🙂 Does this way not make it throw any errors with CANbus or anything like that? I had thought there needed to be some jiggery pokery done so that alarms didn't start flashing on the dash.
Hi for the vans 2009 and before (Ie T5) all good. Later you need a relay setup but shouldn’t throw any errors unless a light out. Hope this helps. You can do it 👍
@@YoucandoitwithJules Cool. That sounds nice and easy then. I didn’t really know what the can bus stuff was but seems it’s just super low voltage or power. Knowing I can bypass it with relays and not throw a light is good. Thanks for the video 👍
Hello there I have just purchased a tow bar for my 2007 vw transporter 2007 t5 / t 32 and with the tow bar is a really would your advice be to fit the rely or just go straight into the loom. Many thanks
Hello there again its been a while but today I actually got round to fitting the tow bar and as promised I would let you know that I went straight into the loom with the electrics and up to now no issues. Many thanks again for your help. Take care 👍:-)🔧🔧
If it's can Bus which was Facelift T5.1 then no, check on Rosstech website for more details on can bus. www.ross-tech.com/vcds/canbus.php Let us know how it goes. You can do it 👍
Sam Brookhouse Hi just seen this question. No I didn’t have to pack anything it fits perfectly. That’s with a Westfalia TOWBAR. If it’s not that make then I can’t comment. Hope it goes well and let me know 👍
@@YoucandoitwithJules no worries. Cheers mate. I've ran 2 cables to tge engine bay. Managed to find a good easy access not far behind tge battery. Thanks for the reply. Think I'm sorted.
Nick Oliver Hi, yes there’s a hole in the bulk head behind the battery, if you take blackpanel out behind the battery. I cover it in my video about mains feed into the van. You can do it
I've tested the wires... Wire 1 and 3 both respond to the direction light to the left. Completely confuses me.. Any ideas anyone? I wish I could just find an diagram of the car wires there,.. but haven't found any after many many hours of searching.
Great video. I will be fitting a tow bar to my vw transporter 2007 t32 next month and this will certainly help me. 👍👍
Thanks for the feedback and let us know how you get on. You can do it 👍

2007 straight into loom is much easy and doesn't effect the electronics. Keep us posted of what you do. You can do it 👍
Thank you for your reply. Will keep you posted. I maybe a little while until I get chance to fit the tow bar but I will message you 🤜🤛👍

Great video.
Did you have to fit anything/ spacer to pack out the towbar to enable the rear bumper to fit correctly?

Hi. Where did you take the positive power supply from? Cheers.
Hi I’ve just spliced into the cables in the wiring loom. If you are talking about a main positive for a caravan I haven’t wired that up in this video.

Also on some vans there’s a positive mains feed under the left hand seat ( also covered in the video) You can do it 👍
Very good job 👍👍💪
Pleasure hope you got it wired up ok. You can do it.
