Glad you’re having a great time out there. The lighthouse run is my favourite I’ve only done it once October 2019, I can’t wait to go back with friends and do another week over in Majorca love it 😍
Katie, I did not know how addictive your videos are until one week went by without. You are a bright star on a gloomy night. Thank you for being you. Majorca is great, but the US might be better and certainly has more variety. When are you coming to visit? I can offer Florida, Colorado, and the D.C. area.

you post this and i booked my flights last night. LOVE IT ! recognise the street 10 sec FIRST of video. cap de formentor love it. end sept - palma. for the 1st time in 5 visits. Looking fwd to new roads around Palma.

Watched a couple of your videos now. They really are great. Thank you for sharing. I will be over there in four weeks time. It will be the first time Ive been aboard with the bike. Super excited as its been a lifetime dream and bucketlist item. Cant wait to see some of these sights personally.

Hola! Kiwi here. Cycled a lot round there and on motos! I love that island. Lucky!! Amazing scenery! That NW corner is awesome!
Best if you are staying near Palma is to go along the coast to Cap Blanc then across country to Campios then Felanitx and up San Salvador in early evening, stay the nigh for cheap but especially summer get a west facing room or the sun will wake you at 4.30am! Then ride the hilly roads along the coast next day from cala d'Or up to Porto Cristo and end day with evening meal in Manacor and catch last train back to Palma.
Cap Formetor is a great ride. Did it 7 years ago. Don't forget to do the Sa Calobra as well. Enjoy youre stay and have fun
Looks fantastic - I have been rock climbing around Soller, Bunyola and Alaro but never been out there cycling - right chilly in the Peak District today!

Hi Katie, after having an absolutey awesome tim erecently at TDU in Adeliade I'm now super keen to travel more with my bike so I'm going back through all of your videos on Majorca. Which route is this one in particular? I will be looking at your routes on Strava to get an idea of which ones are best to do. Thanks always for what you do, you'remy fave and the BEST :) xx
Great video, as you mentioned the closed roads, you can now ride the snake pass without any cars for a month, enjoy the rest of your holiday 😎🚴♀️

I've booked 4 days cycling with my son in Puerto pollensa first week of April. I cannot wait, it will be my first cycling experience abroad. We are hiring road bikes and hopefully will find some routes on Komoot...excited haha.

Have been watching the Strava uploads anticipating this excellent video. Definitely a “proper holiday” even if it was a bit cool … you’re having epic fun! Brings back nice memories of my only trip to Palma about 15 years ago for work and it happened to coincide with a big in-water boat show in the harbour with warm sunshine. 🚴😀
Oooh there's a few more vids to come too :) It's absolutely bloody amazing / lovely / fun / mega!!! Just being able to ride all day again. I feel super lucky! :)

Lovely ride Katie must get the bike over at some stage. How's the phone signal at the most remote spots as you'd want communications if riding solo. Worth investing in an SOS beacon device like Garmin make perhaps.
Later into the summer night be worth going up to northern Spain as theres some nice roads and gravel.

When we went in 2018 there were goats at the cafe sniffing around for food. Love that place, hope to go again in September.
Katie was the one that recommended the lighthouse route to me some years ago. Forgot my proper bike bottle on that route, so had a bottle of volvic wedged in the cage. Flung off on high speed bends. Still… good memories though.
Oooof be careful, just pop the bottle in a back pocket :) It's lush up there isn't it? SO lovely!

Loved the climb to the sanctuary at San Salvador, but I approached from the south (Cala d'Or family holiday) where the Canyon demo centre is based. Nice twisty roads, but I'd avoid the gravel next time. Definitely want to return to ride the mountains.

We do Randa while we are over that way Katie. That makes it worth it. Did you go into the chapel at the top of San Salvador? There's a load of world champion jerseys framed on the walls from many years ago. All won by a local guy from Felanitx!

Hi Katie, yep Mallorca is glorious. I'm out there again to sample those climbs soon. Currently out in Gran Canaria where nothing is flat. Just like Trooper Lane without the cobbles. Enjoy your break from a follow plant based cyclist.

Majorca is great, have raced there in the past. If you want to climb a nice mountain take the Puig Major. Enjoy Majorca!!

You need a compact air compressor to bring with you; You'll save a lot of consumed human energy if you bring one with you. They are small and lightweight. There are also CO2 cartridge systems too.

Did you plan and book everything yourself?
Yup! Well actually I normally book everything separately but a friend booked later this year got it as a package - so flights, transfer, apartment. I did it via Jet2Holidays and it was super cheap and the apartment is class!

Something I've never done ie away with my bike like that. Haven't been to Mallorca for a long time in terms of holidays tho' I'd regard a long flat road as a great novelty because where I live is very up hill and down dale despite my initially thinking it'd be flatter where I live now compared to where I used to live. Hope you have a good one tho'.
