I agree with you Katie - I also struggle on the flats and feel much more tired after a flat ride compared to when I do a lot of climbing. Mallorca is definitely on my bucket list! Fantastic views 🤩Thanks for sharing with us.
You have recovered exceptionally well Katie, no messing about on this one. Great to see the joy in you from the ride. Thanks for sharing the route, I hoped you would.
Katie, I miss that smile and the happiness on your bike ride. I am so happy to see you back at it again, I feel like I was there with you riding on that beautiful scenic Mallorca.
Love you videos you always have a smile on your face. Haven’t rode over year now as struggling to get motivated, hopefully will get my mojo back one day and get back on the saddle.
Awww thanks! Well if it makes you feel better I lost it for a while too but… bright days help a lot! Also just going for a ten min ride will help get you back into it. That feeling of joy you get on the bike will hook you back in! Also, don’t feel you HAVE to ride, tell yourself you’re lucky that you GET to ride!! :) xx
@@KatieKookaburra Yes! Glad you are overcoming the jitters to go out again! You looked like you were enjoying it! It's important to heal both physically and mentally. You got this! Great work!
Rode the 312 back in 2016, remember some awesome views on the route out to Valdemossa looking down onto the sea far below. It had stopped raining by then thankfully 🙂
@@KatieKookaburra yep 😎 got to see a lot of the island on the 312 but all seemed over in a blur. Love the views out near Lighthouse where you can see mountains, sea and yet more mountains behind them 😎
There's a great route down of Cuber reservoir to east of Soller It's called Biniaraix Port de Soller to Deia on the coast road on to Valldemossa Great Hiking area as well The ridge is called Alfabia Next stop La Palma they could do with your custom after the volcano!
Well done Katie! My Wife & I have had to cancel our last two September cycling fortnights in Puerto Pollensa due to Covid. Fingers crossed for this year. Nice to see some of our regular routes in your vids. How warm is it? Dry? Rich, North Yorks
It’s dry and like a spring day in the UK. I’ve had a jacket on most of the trip but it’s just PERFECT!!!!!!! I love it, and you will have an awesome time when you get here.
Love your positivity and your videos. It would be really great to see more how you fuel and eat on these big rides. Women never show this and I think it would be so helpful to destigmatize eating and fueling properly for big endurance events like this!
Had no doubt that you'd be completely fine with the distance and climbs. Where I live it's not one or the other just lumpy so usually you going up or down with some flat bits thrown in and lately lots of wind. :)
It looked fantastic today, hope it’s a good tomorrow 👍 Actually, how long did it take you from start to finish in terms of total time and also moving time? Xxx
Looks like a good time of year to be in Mallorca. Last time I was there was October 2019 and every descent was ruined by hire cars. Much prefer Portugal at the time of year.
I think even after long breaks, if you have that athletic base, you can always go back much easier than before. Im just coming back ffrom a 4 year break, gained 40 lbs, but even still I feel like my progress now is much easier now that i know ive done things oin the past like ride 100 miles.
Discovered cycling last year after laughing at cyclist for 20 years while playing golf . Leaving in Mallorca with 3 young children to take care of the rides brings me all the emotions your are describing and transmitting through videos . So hard to explain to non cyclist . 👍
Good on ya. Half way through watching know on me 58". If I supply a case can I fit in it next time, say that you'd be 15 stone over the allowance. Those views. Make my heart skip a beat.

Love love love the mountains in Mallorca. Can’t wait to get back. The road surface and traffic is so good compared to riding in the UK.
It’s literally Disneyland for cyclists!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍
well done! how nice to see you so happy and strong to do such a great ride!...and what beautiful ride & views!!
Easily one of the best places on EARTH for cycling, great road surfaces, patient drivers and breath taking views. I love Mallorca!
Wow! That's some scenery! Wonderful to see you riding outside and having such a great time!
Lovely to have u share your holiday with everybody
That is a massive day! 3.7km of alt!!! That is the height of Aoraki Mount Cook, NZ's highest mountain or nearly half a Mount Everest! Well played!

Great to see you loving life
On my backyard again ! Enjoy Mallorca. I’ll be covering the 312 as a 🏍 volunteer so we can meet then 😂😂

Katie, very nice job training for the hills. What’s is your secret to coasting uphill 😊!? Safe riding
Will do a video on this! But in short, practice and gearing and a positive mindset to LOVING the hills!

Hi Katie love your videos very inspirational 🚴💨 I'm thinking about going to Majorca how much is it to fly your of wn bike out of there ,? 🧐
Depends where you fly from and who with. Bikes range from £30- £60 each way. Ryanair is the most expensive so I avoid flying with them.

Back on the Alpe next week :)
Did you know that the bakery you stopped at in deja is owned by a friend of mark Cavendish.
It does serve amazing croissants 🥰🥰

Great Video, signed up for Mallorca 312 in 2 months. :)
"I find it way harder on the flat..." That'll be my excuse for à 200km Audax next Sunday which is mostly flat !
It’s a legit reason 😂
Hi can I ask about the jacket you’re wearing? Cheers 🦆

Watched all the way to the end to see the pizza 🍕 and it finished before they arrived

Do you encounter any pots holes, the roads look really fast.
The majority are super smooth but there are the odd small ones on back roads.
