As a USian I always appreciate to learn about athletes from other countries--more people to look for/cheer for during international meets 😉. I have so much respect for steeplechasers. To run as fast as they do with hurdles in the mix is something else. Bless em cuz I couldn't do it! 🤣 Thanks for another great vid
Reagan such a mature athlete now she's very strong would love to see her do more road racing in the cool months.this is a great track with near by deer lake for the warm up
I can't even count the number of times I've tripped & stumbled over uneven sidewalk slabs just bc I'm tired, get sloppy, then drag my feet... and that's just during a NORMAL run. I can't image the strength required to run race pace @ 3k while leaping hurdles & water features. I'd break my neck.
Her stride is so interesting. Looks very achievable, meaning that it looks like one a non elite athlete could muster (knowing this is far from truth but gives us normal peons hope lol)
the only "normal" thing about her iz she izza nice ,well rounded person. the 1st time i ever saw her wuz attan indoor meet at the university of washington about 3-4 yrz ago.she ran the mile & i noticed how smooth she wuz running during her penultimate lap compared 2 the utherz & knew then that the race wuz over.since she wuzza canadian athlete i hadn't seen her b4 so i approached & told her my obzervationz... there wuz no doubt in my mind that she wud b on the canadian olympic team (even tho i didn't know she wuzza steepler) sum ppl have that "it" factor & she definitely iz i uv them,....
4:29 that sync 😍😍

what's a USian
@@didoma73 US citizen/resident. I use it instead of "American" because the US is not the only nation in America/the Americas
@@ellemarie9726 hmm interesting. people usually just say "I live in the US" or "US citizen". but yet, the term "American" is not very representative.

A lot of sub elite athlete run like that. It’s more common than you think
@@icecube6262 She isn’t a sub elite athlete, though; she was an Olympian.
That's what I noticed as well. Really much more noticable in a crowd. Her cadence has to be in the 200s.
Looks bot so efficient as Paul Chelimo for example… something i’d think about

She is like “sitting” on her legs, looking like she is tired when she’s running.
