Actually, you can take the same bus all the way to Ipoh downtown (Jalan Bendahara) and save your trip for a taxi/Grabcar ride. (Remember to take the Sri Maju Bus** which is the only bus running to Ipoh downtown and terminates at its own bus interchange/terminal). It is just a short walking distance from the bus terminal to Chinatown, where famous Ipoh chicken rice shops are located. ** SRI MAJU BUS is owned by the celebrity Michelle Yeo's father😊. The terminal has a ticketing office and an air-conditioned waiting room for its patrons awaiting departure. It's housed in a beautiful colonial building. You can find photos of Michelle Yeo with her family in the ticketing office too.
