Due to the accident, Kim Hee-chul fractured his left leg in five places, including his femur, knee, and ankle, and went through surgery for 6 hours afterward. Other injuries included a tear in his tongue which required stitches and several minor injuries. During Super Junior’s visit for Super Show 3 in Singapore on January 28, 2011, Kim Hee-chul and Leeteuk got into a small car accident due to fans’ cars chasing their car and creating a racing scenario between them. The accident involved 7 cars, including 5 cars from fans. Due to his major car accident, Kim Hee-chul can’t dance properly for any Super Junior dance. That’s the reason why Kim Hee-chul only appears sometimes while the group performs. He decided to promote Super Junior in other ways due to not being able to perform on stage.

While others were not as badly injured, KyuHyun was in the state of coma for a few days to the degree that the doctor said they should be prepared for the worst because the possibility for him to survive was low . Even after he woke up due to his lungs not working well, and his ribs were severely broken, there was a possibility he would be unable to continue to sing, the doctor said he needs to undergo surgery and the best way was to cut his throat (possibly damaging his vocal cords) , but his father who hadn’t supported his dream didn’t accept saying to the doctor that that would take away from him the thing he loved the most SINGING

Aside from training in one of the biggest entertainment agencies and abiding by their rules, he had to deal with his family and his father.His rocky story with his father has deep roots; he previously revealed that his father has divorced his mother back in 1998 and lived separately from them until the day he died.He was also disciplined a lot by his father and he was afraid of him. He had beaten him up a lot as a kid and that added to his unhappiness.In 2014, the world of Kpop found out about a very shocking story. It was revealed that Super Junior’s Leeteuk lost his father and his grandparents all in one day.The story goes that it had been a couple of years since Leeteuk’s father (who had been living with his parents since his divorce) started looking after his parents, the grandfather started to suffer from dementia, added to that, Leeteuk’s grandmother, who had been taking care of her husband, was diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer and was bedridden because of her sickness.

He decided to put the parents to a hospital that would take care of them but before he did that, he took his own life and the lives of his parents.The reason why Leeteuk’s father killed his parents was that he couldn’t afford to take care of them.To add to the terrible news, Leeteuk was serving the military back then, he revealed that even before he found out about the death of them he had been battling depression.Leeteuk inherited his father’s debt of 5 million won ($4.3 million). He had to sell his car and accepted every job possible in order to pay his father’s debt which meant that he slept a few hours every day

About the water prank thing, during bonamana era (2010) they came up with the “refreshing game”. It was because they were so tired that they decided that anyone who fall asleep outside of the dorms would get splashed with water, and they can’t get angry, they have to say “it’s refreshing” and clean the mess lol. The last one was Eunhyuk, he went to another waiting room and locked himself to sleep but the members find out, got the key and went to wake him up lol Everytime they did that they recorded and posted on twitter afterwards
People can hate super junior or any sm groups all they want but their closeness should never be questioned, specifically the older groups. I know it sounds repetitive for some, but SM is literally a family. Some super junior, snsd, tvxq & even f(x) members started training on 2000. They spent their childhood and adolescent years together that's why their really really close.
The game they play at 2:35 where they pour water whoever caught sleeping at waiting room or during practice or on flights or anywhere than the dorm. So this the rules and how they play. 1. Phones must be put away first 2. Whoever get caught and poured he can't get mad and must say "AHHH SO REFRESHING" if not, you got watered again. 3. Must clean up the mess 😂😂😂 It was heechul and shindong started the game first. But eventually they stop playing that even tho it's funny bcs they were all like tired so they often and need sleep at waiting room, on flights, anywhere other than dorm.
Currently in their reality show "SJ Returns" (season 4) they are in group therapy. Hilarious. But the psychologist actually said that this crazy bunch would probably never have stayed together as long as they did if it weren't for their excellent leader Leeteuk. Since he's my bias, that was music to my ears.
