Summary of the story: MIL (mother in law) hated OP (mil's daughter in law) and talked down on her, calling her a bad mother and so on. OP's husband didn't believe OP and "protected" his Mum. OP's + hubbys daughter had a severe nut allergy, but MIL was reckless and baked a cake with nuts and gifted it to the granddaughter(GD) on her 9th birthday. Allergy kicked in, epi-pen wasn't enough, so GD had tonstay in the hospital for a couple of days. OP+hubby went home and MIL tried to blame OP by saying "OP plotted this, so she is the bad one", but hubby and FIL (father in law, MIL's hubby) wheren't buying it this time. They also filed a police report, cause MIL was doing it willingly, so it's called "poisioning". In the end, bc of this behavior, FIL filed for divorce and OP and her hubby got a restraining order.
