The transition from young Nell to her ghost standing in front of her coffin while she keeps saying that over and over again was so well done and so sad.
That moment in episode 5 when Nell’s vision of her dancing with her late husband switches to what the inside of hill house actually looks like gives me chills every time.
I love and hate that scene. Empty, desolate houses always give me the biggest chills. It just feels like they're haunted by the memories of what used to be. I just watched a Squid Game ep.6 few days ago, and it heavily reminded me of this series, in how much sadness it contained, how I felt for the characters and how the emotiveness suprised me due to the genre expectations. I expected to be scared (Hill house), morbidly thrilled (Squid game ep.6), but I was tearing up, and it was cathartic. Also the beautiful soft piano.
The scene where old Mr Dudley brings his dying wife to the house so they could forever stay with their children got me the most. It was a side story, but it was so emotional.

But death...
Is nothing.
No pain, yes. But no joy. Nothing happy. Life hurts. But you only get one shot. Whether you take it...
or not...
is completely up to you.
Soul Reaver I’m 14 and this is deep
Just Some Guy Without a Mustache Its the same idea the show pitches only phrased differently.
@@soulreaver4993 This was an year ago. I lost my dad recently but what you wrote still keeps me going. Thanks man
@@abhishekgawde I’m glad my words could help you, and I’m so sorry to hear about your dad. Of course, there are no words that help ease the pain, but it does get easier. With time.
I’m always here to talk if you should ever want to.
Absolutely phenomenal show, I've never seen anything like it. Funnily enough, I watched the trailer after watching the series, and hearing Luke talk about his blood turning to poison legit made me cry... again 😭
best horror show ever...it touched me in so many ways fear, sadness, relief, happiness a lot of emotions
"The sense of yearning for something out of reach is so. very. poignant. A very tangible heart ache. A small rise in key, as if for a moment you may be able to accept the loss, before trailing off with the quietly mourning realization that no, you won't cope after all."
-My sister who described this song perfectly
oh god i love this soundtrack so freaking much 😔♥️
I fell in love with Nell. Everything they 've been through. The crucial horror. The ghosts in the backround, everywhere present. And at the end, although the scary car scene where Nellies Ghost screamed and oll the other scenes that hunts us....I cried. Mike Flanagan is a Mastermind.
I related to her so much damn...when she says "I was screaming and you didn't see me" OOF
It's you it's me it's us
"I was here the whole time and no one could hear me.." 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Go tomorrow and Stark's theme from GoT is somwhat similar both in terms of musicality and the tragedy behind. And I just love both of them sooooo much.
I still hear this as I’m watching the episode 1 of Bly manor ... well it’s an anthology series even though they’re not connected
"'Take me. Drag me down like you did the others.' But the lady in the lake was different now. The lady in the lake was also Dani. And Dani wouldn't. Dani would never." -The haunting of Bly Manor
Beautiful Melancholy Song!
Masterpiece! 🎯
I don't know why, but this music gave me chills
I watch Hill House every spooky season. It's a masterpiece.
I'm not crying ...you are😭😭😭
We are...
I have a soul connection between this series and me , I really don’t know why but I just , it’s my comfort zone
I remember watching it in my class. I was in 10th grade. Sitting next to my best friend. The whole class was close to each other,it is rare. We were eating and sharing food. And then everything changed because of covid. And now,i lost my best friend. Our classes changed,a lot of them graduated. It is not the same anymore. Whenever i hear that soundtrack,i am in that class next to my best friend, having no stress about university exam or my future. It is like a time machine for me. When music stops, im in the real world again.
What class had you watching this show? That's pretty cool (when it lasted)
I loved this series and I hope there will be more series such good as this one
Forgiveness is warm...
Like a tear on a cheek..
think of that and of me when you stand in the rain..
I loved you completely and you love me the same
That's all...
The rest is confetti...🖤
This song make me think and feel nostalgia, beauty and absurdity.
Why I always cry when I hear this soundtrack…it is soo sad
This music makes me wanna cry so bad alone in the room 🥲🥲😔
Same for me 😪
We have... all of us have. So many times and we didn´t know it
"it's you, it's me...it's us"
That’s not in the series’s 😅 that’s on bly manor not hill house
As big as this song was in the first season, my heart goes to Dani at the end of Bly Manor and how she crumbled and sacrificed herself to end her own and everyone else’s pain.
My heart still belong tho hill house,Bly manor was good but Hill House was just so perfect
i watched this in 2018 when it came out and after all these years when i listen to this i get the same feelings from back then, thats why music is so important in films/tv
There was a time when I used to binge watch horror movies and series at night. I was kinda bored of their same repeated pattern. Also none could scare me to the point that I would turn it off in between. But this, this one changed the whole story man. I could never find anything even comparable to its level before or after
The best! this music really fits perfectly with the series!
Simply this series is a masterpiece.
My favorite scene that Impacted me the most was when Hugh was talking to Steve in the final episode and you learn that Hugh had killed himself in order for the mom to let the kids out of the room. It made me cry when they were finally reunited at last.
Anyone else just listen to this while driving? Had such a nice night drive the other night listening to this... its pretty spooky and unnerving but once you get past that, its.. 'absolutely splendid'.
Hmm i shall have to try it, i usually listen to grime and rap but this is perfectly splendid
@@KolesGamer That is fair dude. I'm more an alternative/ rock kinda guy myself :)
Nell ❤️😢
This track is so so so catchy!
I went into deep thinking after hearing this tune in bly manor! I couldn't recall where I had heard it before!
I like it so much
It's 2 am here and I'm just laying down listing to it while staring at the ceiling! Peace!
