a lot of herald players have legitimately decent mechanics but extremely bad decision making and game sense from what I've experienced...especially the one trick hero spammers

Heralds actually have good mechanics. Some of them just play for fun and end up throwing. I remember back in Uni days, a bunch of my friends and I would party queue being high af and just shit around tho all of us were very good mechanically. But shitting around got all of us stuck in herald.
I find Heralds are usually really good at one or two aspects of the game, whether it be CSing, warding, w/e, but have glaring deficits in other parts of their games that cancel out the benefit of that. Played a party match with my Herald friend the other night(I'm only Crusader so I suck too), and honestly they had some solid points, supports stacking camps, warding correctly, carries consistent in CSing, etc. The one thing that really hurt our game was the tendency of the team to go back to base/jungle after a won fight because they were low hp, even if no threats remained on the map.
My solution was to spam necro and just build healing items, because if I kept their HP pools topped up they were far braver and actually pushed objectives rather than instinctively falling back because of low hp bars. Basically morale > skill at that level.
This is a textbook example of why people hate playing support in Dota. You play a pretty solid WW support, enemy jakiro runs down mid, your weaver flames you while dying solo to the SS, and then you lose to the 1-33 jakiro
I think the flaming was cause WW was never cold embracing the duel targets lol

One of my favorite herald game habits is that no one will do roshan UNTIL a fight ends like right outside the pit and they finally remember that roshan exists

Weaver was braindead apparently, diving relentlessly instead of hitting buildings an win the game. Throwing and blame supports is a lifestyle
WW in low mmr gets flamed regardless of what you do unforch
He could've won them the game when Jak started feeding tho. He had like 2 terrible curses back-to-back. Other than that, he played pretty well

Jenkins must be really rich, his herald review is probably the only regular content in dota 2 with the most and consistent viewers.
Almost 200k views/video, no other content of Dota 2 has numbers even remotely CLOSE to it.

Imagine mastering a hero, doing everything you can to carry the game, only to realize that it's not the meta / broken hero everyone spams and loses late game because your hero cannot catch up to said heroes.
And combined to the fact that jakiro fed mid makes it feel all the worse.

Wyvern isn't that bad late game I have over 3k games on ww? Hit immortal several times with her of course I play other heroes but mainly ww she's really only bad late game if the enemy has like a spec carry and a bunch of fucking magic heroes.

I like the pro play with the courier/forcestaff, Jenkins actually goes TI commentator mode for a second lol. I don't get how some people are herald. I mean this wyvren isn't great but definitely not herald. I am just higher mmr Archon and I definitely think this Wyvren could at least play in Archon.

Because dota is such a team orientated game. Its actually difficult to climb ranks.
I literally jungled wk to get out of herald because it was the only way I could think of to consistently get farm and have impact no matter what.
The strat stopped working at archon, but once i got there it was easy to stay there and have some actual enjoyable dota games 😂😂

In mid game, jenky started to commentary the whole game but not WW, because despite ww grandmaster, herald games are something else to watch.

It's actually very fun to watch low level players' games commentated by a high level player. After Jenkins, I also started to do the same type of videos for chess (gothamchess). It was super fun to watch the random shit they do and what they have missed because of their terrible decision making.

To everyone who failed to understand of Jaks perspective of the game, let me help you.
At this point 9:38 its not as simple as "being an asshole", you should understand completely that we poured all our faith towards our action from the beginning of the game. Hence despite of what really happened to them, after all that feeds Jaki clearly knows there's no turning back.
He may regret his actions, or are miscalculating what his team capable of, but one can only keep his patterns whilst praying the best of their team and putting the highest pray to them for a grasp of victory.
All because, unless passive aggressively invited to work together and back at their side, he scared what his team might said if he know changing side and simply trying to avoid to being called a pussy, at all cost.
Cant expect much for someone putting all his life at this game. DoTA is his romance, and he is miserable at best 💔

Lots of herald players, as well as those up until archon are players that played dota again after years of abscence because of the free arcana and battle pass. I used to be at Ancient VII. Yes, ranks used to be 7 phases per tier but it is now only until 5. But because of how much the game changed and the new things I gotta learn, I am currently at Crusader III. Sucks but I have an sf arcana now

Some herald ranked are those playing just for fun, during vacant time, busy at work and most of them are low game time than others who are grinding to increase their ranks

This game looks like my games. But unfortunately my team is usually like dire early game and radiant late game.
What people fail to realize is that Jakiro was actually playing the long con. By dying over and over, he bloated the enemies' kill streaks so that killing them in return would be more valuable. Jakiro MVP ez

This is the highest level of play.
Atleast these heralds actually buys sentries, had a wr pos 4 once who never once bought a single sentry because he's a "soft support" and because of that had my dagger as a lion at 25min. Luckily the enemy were just as bad and threw a huge lead and we still won.
