Hello again to all you sensational subs I’m back again on a quiet Friday afternoon . Well it’s a Friday afternoon where I am. Today over on my RUclips video I travel back to my mates house and have a look through his 72-year-old shed. I Bring home a heap of sCrap and strip it down and get to melting. Mirrored up that bad boy and she’s an absolute pearler and awesome addition for the shelf. On top of that, I found a whole heap of zinc, which is quite rare, and as my zinc Stores are getting low That was an awesome find. Don’t forget to Stick around till the end of the video for the 5 x $50 giveaway vouchers but most importantly, have an awesome weekend , I hope you enjoy the video when you jump over and have time to watch it and I can’t wait to see you all next Friday 👊🏻😁.
Man... that's only the tip of the iceberg. batman jellyfish, 2 foot glowing earthworms, spiders in Darth vader armor, there is even tiger like beasts with 90 degree jaw... thylacine
the entire time you were in the shed, i thought you were gonna be like "this is steel, this is braas, this is a huge freaking spider and my time here is done"
You know what I like about your channel and videos??? Aside from the ASMR aspect, they are quite inspirational and educational. But the real value is the adventure aspect of your videos! I mean when we see how break down items, acquire them or even purchase them, it is an adventure. For real, sometimes I wish I could hop on plan, fly out to you and spend a week melting and acquiring items for your vault! Don't worry, I am a dog lover so Bullion and Ingot would actually take to me nicely, LOL! But all that to say, I really enjoy your videos and once again I say thank you for them!!!
To add to the melting and asmr, the lesson in scrap metals and values is great too. There is a hustle here, I have never met a poor “scrap” man. This content is awesome
I'm so proud of you for double-fluxing the brass. It makes SUCH a difference and you can see it with the final product compared to the glurgy, clumpy brass of a few weeks back. Bravo!
Another chill and entertaining BigStackD video means another weekend :). What a wonderful start to an Easter weekend! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :)
I have really bad insomnia and your videos help me get some rest before my graveyard shifts. I always get excited when I see a new video drop each week because I know I'll get some good sleep! Thank you for this amazing content! When I rewatch I love seeing the monkeys and all the fun things you pop in each video. Hope you, the boys, and the missus are doing well!
With the amount and size of the nasties in Australia. We need to launch Australia into the sun. You are brave on so many levels to dig through an old shed.❤
Big Brother keeping tabs on you with his planes! Don't be surprised if you get a knock on your door late at night. That was some cool footage of the aluminum pot being melted. Have a Happy Easter!
👍👌👏 2) Happy Easter. 3) In Europe respectively Germany a lot of gutters are made of zinc (it's vertical pipes too). Zinc sheet metal is used for roof's inner and outer edges. Don't know how it's done in Australia. Maybe try to buy zinc scrap from roofing companies. 4) Are the dogs okay? Sounds like as if at least one isn't able to breathe right. Respectively is out of breath fast. Thanks a lot for making teaching recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all of you.
You could not get me in that critter infested shed from Australia for love nor money! Way too many creepy crawlies down under are venomous! I’ll take the -30c winter in Canada any day, too cold for anything with venom to live in the wild.
Amen. I'm in the frigid north of the U.S. and whenever winter gets me down, I watch a documentary on venomous spiders or deadly snakes or toxic jellyfish or giant crocodiles, etc., etc. Then I feel much better about living where the air hurts my face.
No worries at all my friend, you have yourself an awesome weekend as well. Once again cheers for the super thanks mate I really do appreciate it and it certainly is an awesome thing for you to do. I’m putting all the super thanks money aside from all the people and it’s going towards a Copper granulator, but that thing is gonna be about $12,000 so it might take a few years. I can get it for about $4000 cheaper if I buy directly from China, but I definitely do not trust spending that kind of money on an overseas company I’ve never heard of so I’ll just stick with Businesses in Australia that actually import and have them on site. Maybe in the future, I might start a go fund me to get the Copper granulator, but I do feel a bit bad asking for money or pushing people for money and that’s why I’ve never ever taken on a sponsor because I can’t think of anything more cringe and it is really disappointing when you see big channels that are making 50k or 60k+ a month taking on a sponsor every video. People that pay for premium don’t want to see that sponsorship crap it’s just so annoying ! Anyway enough of my rambling I best head off , talk with you soon buddy👊🏻😁.
@@bigstackD Your videos are awesome and very inspiring. In fact, I got back into woodworking because your channel motivated me to get back to making stuff. I am sure I am quite a bit older than you, so take it from this old man: capitalize from what you have built here. You are one of the hardest working RUclipsrs I subscribe to and there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with taking on sponsors and/or creating a Patreon account. You deserve to be rewarded!
My grand mother gave me the same electrolux, about 25 years ago, they are really cool and easy to repair! 2 bakl bearing and 2 brush. The bag is made of cotton and have a rounded neck. I came with a painting kit, plug in the outlet. About 1945- 1950 !
If you’re looking for zinc, any U.S. penny minted in October 1982 or later is zinc that’s been copper plated. Since you’re in Australia, that might be too expensive to ship over, but I would bet someone on the internet does have a decent collection for sale. You can also find zinc used as a substitute for lead in fishing weights, apparently.
Every week my life gets better as I watch your videos❤ now I work in a Produktion Industry for aluminium and I melt it my self, thx for sharing your hobby💪
‘Meltonian” the best thing about your vids is the pace. I can just back, watch and learn. I’m old and retired, and living with my life and her sister and the sister’s daughter. I’d love to get into this hobby but with the three hens clucking about I’d be shot down in 5 minutes for all the clutter, I know I’d create. So,… your a great diversion.
Cheers for another awesome video 🎉 Btw the Melt On bottle is Meltonian Shoe dye from either 1960s - 70s. My sisters used to change the colour of their shoes every few weeks. it was easy, you just pained it on and it dried quickly. Cheaper than buying new shoes 😂😂😂 🐣🐣🐣
i love watching these videos idk why they just entertain me and most of the time i don't look at the time so i watch hour long videos all the time and this channel is one of the main sources :D
Wheel weights from tire shops are usually a good bet for zinc. A lot of times they will just give them to you for free. It halls their scrap off for them. Be careful because some weights are lead. Do not mix the two or it will ruin their batch. They may give you cast aluminum wheels that are scraped also.
Really enjoy the channel. Have learned some things, very interesting content. Really enjoy the pup segments as well. Keep up the great work mate. Cheers 🍻
Mr Stacked at 3:08 next to the nut you were rolling around there is an interesting circle with a hex shaped hole in it i bet it might make a cool coin mold thought id let you know for consideration :)
I was worried about Lil' Ingot there for a sec when he didn't do his area rug belly rub thing at first... but all is well! And he's not in "sleep mode"... he's conserving energy! Dude, that shed? First order of business would be a can of Hot Shot! That bar is gorgeous, I think the nicest so far, and there's been some beauties! Always love how Boullion look like he's on a mission! Happy Easter to you, Mrs. BigStackD and the boys!
Have a VERY HOPPY Easter Mr. BigStack!!!!! (well, you and the Family!) -Thank you for making such simple, wholesome content that is actually QUITE AMAZING!!! ` You've made melting cool again!!! lol :) - I hope you have a WONDERFUL Easter!! And don't forget to spoil the boys with a nice HAM BONE!! (that IF you traditionally have a baked Ham on Easter Sunday like we do in the States... if not get 'em one anyway lol)
That exploring was really fun! Hard to believe you could get such a shine out of that stinky old brass you found. And that pot melting was pretty cool as well. At first I was wondering what you were gonna do with that tilted barrel. Cool setup 🔥
Love your metal recovery and melting process! Sorry I am a long way from the west, I have over 40 years of hoarding in my shed and yard and need to downsize, you would be welcome to taking anything you want for scrapping or curiosity artifacts. Happy Easter!
When I see the copper hair from the solenoids, I think of Merida from Brave...lol. good mix of melt for ya today. Thanks for sharing. I thought you would have saved zinc for future Nordic gold.

Great video as always, those bloody spy planes !!! Have you ever thought about filling the crack in your tree stump with metal? Maybe copper for a nice colour contrast, it will stop stuff falling in it !!! I love how Ingot scratches his tummy and wotnot every morning lol. Happy Easter to you all xxx
I’ve had a few people say to fill it in and if I was to do so it would be with aluminium as anything hotter would burn into the wood and probably turn a little bit of it to charcoal so I’m definitely considering filling it with aluminium.👌🏻 😁. I’ll just keep some water handy so once the aluminium has frozen/set I’ll try and cool it down before it burns into the wood too much.
The Dirty Little Stripper has done such great work for your projects (only wish there had been a mileage indicator built in - you’d have stripped to the moon and back by now!) OTOH, am looking forward to seeing you add a granulator to your tool arsenal. More power!

I get it for free but I treat the guys with some stuff I make to keep everyone happy.
Hi bud, sorry for the late reply but I was just on the phone with you before. As always cheers for the ongoing support mate. Really do appreciate it👊🏻😁

Have you checked the tire repair shops for zinc ? most of the weights for wheel balancing are now made of zinc instead of lead . Here in the U.S many states banned the use of lead wheel weights and zinc ones are fairly common .
I am following along as usual! Broke down my granny's old food processor (it died) and wondering if there is a simple or reliable way to tell the difference between different metals… some are easy, but curious about whether chucking something in because it looks like copper will ruin a copper melt?

Its a good thing us Americans watch your channel. No one ever warned us of the carnivores koala. Only the crocs and baby eating dingos
Fecking drop bears
They don't eat tooooo many babies just a few xxx

The best place to get free zinc from. Roofing sheets like a warehouse next time you see a roof going on find the skip. Awesome episode brother
You’re correct. They use it to seal the cap vents and valleys

Wake up babe! New BigStackd just dropped
My wife likes this channel too. We watch it together late at night.
I woke up from a dream, looked at my phone, and the video had been up for 14 minutes. I was way too sleepy to watch it at that moment though, lol.

Zinc? Try the boatyard or ship builders. They change zinc bars from the hulls of boats and ships for corrosion fighting.
That brass bar was off the hook! Thanks for sharing with us.
I giggled so much at 15:14. The way you just paused when it flew off, you were like "Well alright then." wonderful melt!

15:10 🤣 That was freakin hilarious, **distant crash** and you were just like “alrighty then”
Very cool salvage melt! You should think about investing in a band saw. Much cleaner than a grinder and it can cut on its own.

Hello BigstackD happy Easter to you and your family from Buenos Aires Argentina, take care of yourself and thank you for the video
Check the scrapyard for wheel weights. Here in the states, wheel weights are mostly zinc instead of lead now 👍🏻
The ending is too funny. Thanks for all your videos.❤
ahhh! I love watching you delicately dismantle things lol
Great video as always, those bloody spy planes !!! Have you ever thought about filling the crack in your tree stump with metal? Maybe copper for a nice colour contrast, it will stop stuff falling in it !!!

I enjoyed all the pours again today, but copper is still my favourite. 👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome video nice copper and aluminum and brass bar's and zinc coins thanks for sharing bigstacķd
I think that was the cleanest and prettiest Copper pour I've ever seen. Minor part of the video but amazingly clean.
Happy Easter
Eggcellent video. Happy Easter 🥚
I liked the old music at the end.

Cardboard-fire brick-no stick-😊 Happy Easter BigD! 🫶🏼😎
I wonder if one day we will see you build some kind of mega furnace and smelt steel!
Easter is a symbol for springtime and renewal.

Always great video brother from the imperial county California 🇺🇲👍
😂😂 Still stuck on repeat I see
Beautiful Brass Bar. Great work ❤
Happy Easter, Big!
How are you able to identify the different metals? You mention something is brass but it looks like aluminium?
I understand the scratching sometimes and the use of a magnet for steel.
Happy Easter BigstackD from me and my wife! Another enjoyable video. Thanks for all your posts. Good stuff!
Thanks 👍 I appreciate that👊🏻😁
For ZINC... Make a deal with your local tire shops to recycle all their wheel weights. In my area I make my rounds once a month. I get it for free but I treat the guys with some stuff I make to keep everyone happy.
The brass melt had a sort of Easter theme to it, metal that was old and tarnished, was freed from it's impurities and then transformed into radiance.
Happy Easter Everyone and Bigstack D
Meltonian is a suede dressing for shoes. Thought you might want to know.
Nice melt Big D! Good find with the zinc too! That brass bar looks premium!
Have an awesome Easter mate.
