Love that you are so open to sharing your knowledge. The interior design industry is typically so closed off and exclusive and you make it much more inviting and fun. Thank you!
Seriously, thank you SO SO much for these videos. Building our first home currently, don’t have the budget to hire a designer, and these videos are SAVING ME!! Bless you Kristen!🙌🏾
Can you post more of these informational videos on tips and tricks in the small details that elevate a home build? I found this video extremely helpful. Thank you, Kristen!
Hi! We will do our best, but in the meantime we offer a course called ODLearning where Kristen teaches all of her tips and tricks for styling a space, selecting paint colors & more! Here is the link: www.organicdesertlearning.com/
Currently rethinking my tile lay in each room lol. Definitely playing it waaaayy too safe. Still have time to change it! Thank you for sharing these details of your GORGEOUS home Kristen!
Kristen, This is the first time I have written. I usually don't watch on my computer but today, I am. I have been LOVING your videos for months. We are building a home in Driftwood, Texas. Finally, getting to the finish out. This tile video is one of my favorites. I'm struggling right now with hardware, drains and shower curtains vs. glass. I actually love the "organic" feel of a shower curtain (as you've shown in your guest bath) and am wondering if I could save money NOT using glass...also struggling with what 'drains' to pick on showers when using brushed gold faucets or matte black. Do you believe in "showcasing" drains or that they should blend into the floor and not be a statement? Do I want square or round? Thank you so much for your EXCELLENT videos. You're my favorite go to design team. We are building, what I call a "moditerranean" Santa Barbara style home --My builder has me using Moen only so I'm going traditional, classic on faucets, pairing with more modern sconces, arched mirrors, modern spanish tile accents and I'm mixing matte black and brushed gold...My guest bath will be a party! You've taught me so well. If I could afford a designer, I would hire you. Grateful for your wisdom and resources. THANK YOU!
That was so informative! Love your selections! Would love to see a video dedicated to how you decide what direction tiles and wood flooring should be laid in various rooms throughout the house. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this information. I learned a lot, although I needed it a couple of weeks ago. Finishing a bathroom remodel today lol. I can certainly use it in the future. You new home is beautiful and I love your channel and style!!
Can’t wait to see your house! Am in construction too and I am so inspired by your house….. I just need one favor, I beg you to please do a special video on bathtubs. Like the pink bathroom…. Which tub is that? How deep is it? Where did you it?
More tile deep dive videos please!! All the help on this front is super helpful. Specifically, if you have free standing tub and separate shower what are options for which walls should have tile. Should it be the same tile? What to do behind vanity? If it’s free floating vanity that doesn’t have wall on the perpendicular then what are some tile options that are not just standard trim above? Thank you for your informative content!!
Absolutely love your videos. I wish you showed the transition between tile and wood floors. I just had kitchen done in brick tile set in herringbone pattern and it next to wood floors. Would love to see how you handled it. Thanks for all the great info.
Liked your video, but I also like the (Schluter) tile edge trim used in certain applications to transition between two different patterns of tile on the wall, or between tile and another flooring material. I decided to use it on my kitchen backsplash above the range because to me it just looked cleaner than the marble tile I was going to use. I wouldn’t use it to cap tile wainscot though. I agree a liner looks better.
Wonderful video. How did they do the thick grout line? Most tile spacers are only 3/8” max and my tile person isn’t sure they can do it thicker. Thanks!
I will just fall in line with a hands down beautiful bathroom. And thank you for your expertise. Much appreciated 🎉 question: is your primary bath shower marble a matte finish?
I can't decide which video is my favorite but I know this tab has been open on my computer all year and I have shared it to so many people soooo I guess this might be my fav. I LOVE you work. LOVE your videos. You are so generous with your knowledge. How deep (front to back) is your master shower and how deep is the bench along the back. I'm trying to decide if I have enough depth to add a bench like yours. I have 53 inches of depth.
This was so helpful! I have so many "mini projects" planned for our home over the next year. Are you able to the share the links or details of the plumbing fixtures in the shower/tub of the girls' bathrooms? It's so lovely!

Awesome bathroom with the 1 inch grout gap and penny tile. By chance what color is the penny tile it looks blue in some pics and a light grey in others? Thank you for sharing
Beautiful home! Love all your videos ❤ Wondering what you use for the white grout? Is it grout? I can't keep my clean. Thinking of changing floors now...
Great lesson & advice! Do you have any advice on painting slate? My master has dark brown slate everywhere and I’d like to go lighter if possible. Thanks!
This is such a helpful video! How do you decide whether to run rectangular tile vertically or horizontally in a bathroom? Both when considering flooring and walls. Do you also recommend that the same direction be used for both floors and walls? Thank you!
Thank you so much for watching! It totally depends on the overall design aesthetic! Vertical can be seen as more modern and horizontal can fall more traditional! The floors and walls do not need to be the same direction! 🖤
@@THELIFESTYLEDCO Thanks for taking the time to reply! I love your channel and it is super useful as I am working on renovations. Not quite working on the budget of the big projects. Also, happy belated Women's Day!
This was SUCH a helpful video. My husband is getting ready to renovation our bathroom and I have a question. In Harpers shower, you didn’t have any sort of bullnose or trim around the window or niche. This is the look I’m going for. Do you happen to know how your tile guy achieved the look you got without having the edges of the tile shown or it look unfinished? Thanks so much

ive rewatched this about a dozen times. new questions that would be super helpful: 1) how do you recommend lining unfinished edges on large format tiles? most 48"x48" porcelein tiles (pretty much all) don't have any bull nose trim that is 48" so smaller pieces would break up the clean lines/runs without seams. is schluter in this scenario best or is there something i haven't discovered yet? would appreciate to hear what you all think!
