- Hello everyone,
Thank you for visiting my channel today. I wanted to show you all how to draw a dragonfly. I had a few views make the suggestion so here it is. I hope you enjoy it and follow along with me. There is something really satisfying about doodling these little creatures. Their intricate little see-through wings and their giant eyes make them so unique. I love that you make all the emphemera yourself, I hope to do that with my journal journey...it seems like so much more original than using other peoples sketches and art. Great videos , as per usual!!

thank you again for a wonderful tutorial. the dragonfly wings reminded me of those seeds we use to call helicopters. are they from a maple tree? I can't remember, but they looked like dragonfly wings and when they floated down from the tree they spun. You are correct, the symmetry is a challenge. thank you

Hi, I am new to JJ and actually have not done very much at all, other than making a few tags and other ephemera, plus watching tons and tons of videos..LOL but you just noted something about how you make your inserts before you make your journal. I actually believe that's probably how I would rather do it as well, but my question is: once you have completed your insert, do you find it difficult to sew the signature into the journal, since you already have that bulk in your inserts? Or maybe I am confused about if there is a diff in "inserts" and signatures? Idk, would you mind explaining this process.further? I love your drawings btw, you seem as if you have spent quite a deal of time to grow this skill. Thank you so much for sharing your skills with the world.

Thank you for watching, I find I kind of work backwards. I usually tie my signatures in instead of sewing. I be like to be able to pull my pages out to work on the more even interchange then with another journals. 😊

I am amazed how resourceful you are. Never thought about the blank pages of old books. I have done the mushroom houses and were happy with them. These step by step video are not hard. Anyone can do it. I hope you keep doing lesson. I like that the videos are not super long and can have a sketch in ten or so minutes. Thank You.

What do you mean?
@@thecreativecove6898 I just thought you were drawing the dragonfly looking down on it as it was flying by, which would put the legs under the wings, not on top. I just discovered your channel, and really like what you do, so this is NOT a criticism. You are really talented, and I follow as best I can.
@@noapology88 oh I see. I drew the legs that way because the wings are transparent.
