I especially like the little details of how cartoonish the situation got once we entered dogday’s dream. CatNap’s sudden ability to turn the sleepers into monsters, DogDay’s suddenly gained super-saiyan powers (Why didn’t he use them on CatNap instead of trying to hit him with the bone? Because he doesn’t have them), CatNap’s over exaggerated defeat scene, and everybody suddenly admiring and thanking DogDay for rescuing them from the dreams when they hated him for it earlier. It’s because CatNap knew that what DogDay wanted was him gone and things back to normal, and that’s how he would get it.

Alright now, already I've been having a hyperfixation on the Smiling Critters but this? This just BOOSTED it even more. Like I swear, the way you give each character a personality that I OH SO cherish is just amazing and I loved every second of the song! And the little dreams that the critters have just adding to their character and personality just makes me love it even more, especially DogDay's illusion where he thinks he can beat DogDay with the might of the sun! And Catnap... Oh, hes already menacing alright, with just the way this song progresses, especially the part where he takes control of the other critters. Overall, this song has been such a joy to listen to, and just boosted my love for the Smiling Critters even more! This has been an amazing trip to go on and I cant wait for more!

It actually makes so much sense for Catnap having such an calm voice. Since his characteristic is to put people to sleep, his pleasant voice also helps to create a calmer atmosphere at the Critters. Moreover, his voice is not only soothing but also mysterious and melancholic at the same time. Gosh, couldn‘t have thought of a better voice for Catnap, then this one 💜
But I also have to ask, how many people have worked on this project? Because everytime there‘s an cutscene the whole artstyle just suddenly changes and if my theory might be true I just have to say that you guys did an amazing job 😊❤

OK…I was a little upset that I couldn’t watch this earlier, but I’m glad I watched this at night before bed…BECAUSE IT MADE IT SO MUCH CREEPIER!
You nailed the kiddie tone even more than you did with Amanda! Each of the characters were right in their element with their happy jingles and cute voices! Each masterfully crafted lyric felt like a page of a children’s storybook! DogDay as the proud leader and the rebel against Catnap. The latter as a conniving rascal. And everyone else enjoying their favorite hobbies for the day! And then, of course, the slow descent into madness…a leader fighting a coup d’état from what is in essence a NECROMANCER controlling his fallen friends. Yup, that’s a fairy tale alright. The Smiling Critters with their blank smiles singing their chorus and gaining up on DogDay was by far one of the CREEPIEST thing I’ve seen you produce…just as frightening if not more so than your interpretations of Lemon Demon and Fake Peppino! I should’ve expected it, but I was convinced the ending was going to be happy, and yet the rug was STILL pulled out from under me with CatNap’s ominous figure taking the center of DogDay believing he’d saved the day in a dream he’ll never wake from. Even your outro was terrifying!
Gotta say, of all the media pieces you covered, your art team managed to imitate Smiling Critters the closest! They look EXACTLY like they do in Poppy Playtime, and I mean it with as little exaggeration as possible! You could definitely bring this fictional TV series into the official canon or a standalone fan series given the opportunity with the love that was poured into this (Bobby Bearhug has some competition!). Sadly, it seems like the story ended just as it began. Ominous clouds of red smoke blocking the screen as the details of terror deep into each pixel, permeating the room, clogging the eyes and nostrils, invading the tracheas of innocents so full of energy and ambition…their lively bouncy movements reduced to puppets and corpses…
Ah, the ecstasy and joys of escapism. I too have felt the tantalization of dreams and daydreams alike, begging that I could bring them into reality. And when I woke up, the world never looked the same. Neither did I. But as I continued on through each day and each week, I realize that the best way to make your dreams a reality is through faith and hard work. And I’ve smiled ever since. RecD, I know you can too! I watched this and had an idea. You know how a lot of kids' shows have a couple creepy moments that could be traumatizing? That ending section where we saw that Dogday won could be one of those moments. Imagine if instead of fully removing Catnap from all sources, Playtime Co. just removed the plush of the character, and kept him in the show not as a main character, but as the next antagonist.
