What I want to know is if they changed it to only appoly to wizard cantrips... Because I feel like we're going to see a lot of Warlocks with a 3 level Wizard dip
I mean with wizard and specially the evoker you could literally keep it the same and just improve the wording and it would be solid. Wizard is already a top tier class. Except the potent cantrip that was so ass
I think its fair that they give us 4 subclasses for each class, in 5E PHB it was rlly unfair when druid had 2, paladin 3, cleric 7, wizard 8... So now it better IMO, ofc best it would be if we got all 😉
Evocation wizard has been nerfed and a less attractive option for a spellcaster that wants to include single target and AoE damage as an important part of the tactics. Draconic sorcerer has usurped most unique things about the evoker, and the special magic missile + empowered evocation interaction was removed. Sculpt spells is now available as sorcerer metamagic too. Everyone gets ritual casting now. Why they included it in the new PHB is puzzling, evoker has lost all that rendered it unique. The worst outcome of the 2024 revision. Other classes are mostly improved.
I would say that evoker doesn't have to use a resource for their sculpt spells. Everyone does get ritual casting but wizards don't have to have the spell prepared. Evokers also do half damage with all attack cantrips, which sorcerers don't, and add their intelligence modifier to all evocation spells, draconic sorcerer is only one element.
So potent cantrip will do half damage even with aimed cantrips that doesn't have a save throws and that makes it actually really useful.
Potent cantrip is pretty powerful basically you cannot completely fail cantrip attacks you deal at least half.
Not impactful. You don't play wizard to cast cantrips, what impacts the game are real spells. Instead of doing 0 damage you do 3, yay!

Some small quality changes. I like it, you don't have to rock the boat every time.

All 8 Schools should be subclasses for the Wizard in 2024 PHB I'm disappointed
They'll sell you the others at a later date.
This is a teaser to advertise the upcoming book, so just a peek
@@ericzephyr no he said in another interview that each class Only has 4 subclasses
You can use the old ones they just won’t be updated.

Why would they move sculpt spells to level 6?
So excited for this but why would I preorder it? It will be easy to pick up from my LGS on launch.
Bring back à la cart to the marketplace
Oh! I see they're cooking.
