These suck… I purchased 3 boxes for my outdoor trees and they all died after 3 years. I’ve also had the incandescent version and that lasted a whopping 6 years! And it still works as my Christmas tree lights.
I think its because the pins on on the light bulb break off easier on the LED lights then the incandescent lights from the rain and they might last a lot longer if they are used inside. Ive used these outside for 3 years now and The green channel already went out twice but I fixed it and as of this year so far its still going strong.
@@CassadysChristmasLights7361I also used a LED Keeper Pro which I bought from Home Depot for $30, It did make the lights work, as long as it was plugged into the LED Keeper. I tried plugging it back into into my wall outlet ( I even tried an extension cord ) and didn’t work. The fuses were not burnt out and no wires were damaged.
@@GarlandTexasSpotter2024 one thing that did happen was on another multi function light set from holiday time. it was outside and the control box was upside down and the rain rusted the screws and it thankfuley it still works but i never left it upside down after that. mabye covering the control box with a zip lock bag or somthing will preserve the string?
One year they had a 4 channel version red blue green purple don't know why they quit making them. I collect function/musical lights from the 90s
I have a clear set from the 90s with thin wires and one circuit isn’t working I also want to convert them to multicolor.
