When I lived there I thought POLICE must track the status of helicopter 🚁 & motorcycle 🏍️ owners because *they alone* able to speed off.
Its a jeep so I would assume he ran out of gas. Only reason he stopped there.

I will never understand why these idiots always escalate the situation. They take a traffic stop and add more citations by fleeing the scene and adding more traffic violations. What could have been a simple ticket, now takes the form of a few days, weeks, perhaps months of incarceration. Well played foolish person. Things must have changed post covid. I lived in LA back in 08 ish and there was always heavy traffic on weekdays. Especially in that area. These car jackers got it made now. Granted most of them still get caught. It seems we get a car chase a day now. Sometimes more. Crazy. They should preload the roads with remote control spikes.

They said it in the video multiple times. The Vice President, Kamala Harris, is staying in Westwood. Media helicopters are not allowed in the airspace around where she is staying so they had to stop pursuing.

They used this thumbnail the two previous pursuit videos as well. The actual video of the motorcycle pursuit is only 21 seconds long.
