I know you are busy and asked this all the time but my son wants to turkey hunt like there is no tomorrow can you please give him any advice on how to really turkey hunt we live in Maryland thks you he also really looks up to you because you are the real deal thanks
Scouting and finding birds is the biggest part of turkey hunting
I would suggest that THE biggest hurdle is gaining access to private ground and if you're serious, this a year around endeavor. If you get ONX Hunts APP and basic package ($30) it shows property lines and the address of the owners. This makes chasing down the owners significant easier. Have your rig washed and wear decent close. I also have simple, cheap business cards made up to give the land owner. If you do gain permission a thank you note each year will go a long way in keeping the access you worked so hard to get.
