just a small thing, it is not a laser printer, it is an LED printer, while it does work in a simular way to a laser printer in that it transfer toner from a drum to paper, it is LEDs that scans the drum to produce the static charge for the toner to cling to, not a laser. @@Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM , as i said I have the Hl-3150CDW which does print both sides, it is a very good printer, one of the better things i did going for that type of printer instead of sticking with inkjet. I just got this. And am having some issues with prints coming out blurry. Like very slightly fuzzy. Even on photo glossy. Seems crisp on the screen. They are JPG files from the internet and are quite small. Most are postage stamp size. Is there something I’m doing wrong?
Search “doll food printables” in google pics. These type of things. I’ve tried all different sizes from all different websites and it only works when I take a large template and reduce its size to small. So it’s gotta be a compression issue of some type
So I did a search and one thing I have run into and this seems to be the case as well with your particular situation is that the size of the pic is very small, what happens in this case is that most of these do not show up well when enlarged and will indeed appear fuzzy and not good quality for printing...I do custom Greeting Cards for friends and getting images that will show up without being blurred or fuzzy takes a great deal of searching to get one that will work...when you find your picture, try checking the size, the bigger the size the less likely you will run into the fuzzy or blurry pictures... It is also that a lot of people trademark there images and they won't allow anyone to manipulate them...it can be a challenge for sure, and yes compression is generally I believe the issue that generally occurs...
Reviewing Playing & More RPM doesn’t it have a lot to do with the PPI ratio? If I find ones with much higher definition theoretically they should print more crisp right??
@@nokiot9 That's correct, 300 PPI is the optimal printing resolution for digital printing presses. Designing a file in lower than 300 PPI will lead to blurriness and pixellation...
No, I unfortunately didn't realize this until after I bought it, but find most programs offer ways around this for most things, it will be something I make sure of for the next one though...Thanks...
Thanks for your reply and making this video. It was helpful. kudos to you for doing this. I didn’t find any way to go around to print-side on Mac with Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word. Let us know if you find a way around to do two-sided printing. Thanks. have a great one.
Unfortunately no, it can connect to a PC with a USB Cable but no USB Port to use for prints or anything...and no duplex printing, I'd choose one with both those features next time...
The Brother MFC-L3770CDW has a few more features, most notably that it has Duplex printing for two sided printing...which I would have chosen if I'd realized it when I got mine...
Something I forgot to mention. Do you think this printer can handle transparencies, ie. printing on clear film? I was led to believe that most laser printers can, if using the correct transparent film/acetate of course. There is such a thing as clear sheets for laser printers coz I have some. Your feedback will be most appreciated., I promise!
Went and looked it up, Yes you can do Transparencies. First change the paper type, then you'll need to use 3M-CG3300 Transparency Paper/Film and print it from the Multi-Purpose Tray. Thanks
@@Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM Exactly what I'm looking for! It's so difficult to choose from such a wide range of machines which all do basically the same thing but have so many different numbers and abbreviations. Heck, I don't even know what the letters all mean! What I do know is I've decided to stick with Brother coz I'm am pretty familiar with the brand. The machines I've had have never let me down. Also, I found out that Brother is by far the best when it comes to diy toner re-filling and replacement cartridges. There's an abundance of cheaper Brother-compatible alternatives on the market and that is a huge plus. I believe ALL manufacturers should be supporting this, especially nowadays, so a gold star for Brother. I currently have a Brother printer-scanner-copier colour inkjet that prints 2 sides & single A3 sheets in rear-feed only. Nothing fancy or expensive, but def reliable. But as with most, if not all inkjets regardless of brand, the printer is great but the ink cartridges are a pain - and a blatant rip-off. Even cheaper alternatives (which work fine, btw) stop print jobs when one colour is allegedly empty when in fact it is not. That's no good. So much unnecessary expenditure, ink & plastic waste it's criminal! So I thought, if I get a decent laser printer (which I have always wanted) that does the same as my inkjet, it will eventually replace the inkjet. I don't need to share a printer over a network: it will be connected solely to my Win10 desktop pc, pref by cable. I live in a block of 4 flats and know that non-wired/WiFi will be troublesome and I don't intend to print from my tablet or mobile (for now anyway), only my pc. Printing from a USB stick would be a handy option, but not crucial. As for printing on both sides, if I'm going to eventually replace my inkjet, I think 2-side printing is a keeper. It has been very handy in the past. I'm not running a business (yet) nor will I be doing loads of large-quantity print runs, so speed and the likes are not an issue. I do want to experiment with different surfaces, lets say. Various weights, textures, paper-types, card stock, watercolour paper and other printable materials so single feed will be fine for now. If I really get into it and start making a few quid from my work, I can always upgrade to something more professional. And as I mentioned before, I'm all for diy toner re-fills, even tho it's a wee bit more hassle. I'm an artist. I don't mind hands-on stuff! I think that's everything! 😉 So that's where I'm at. Sorry for the novel-length comment but sometimes it's good to put it all out there. Maybe, just maybe, someone out there can recommend the very printer for me! Again, thank you sir for allowing me this 'space' to prattle on! And for your input. It is most helpful!
Happy to read your comments, yeah after owning a lot of different printers Brother has been the best I've ever owned. Its solid and reliable and prints very well.
Good Points, I honestly never thought to do this, the print quality is incredibly good, no smudging which of course there shouldn't be, and colors are very sharp and accurately portray the RGB Spectrum in terms of colors...It prints on card stock and glossy papers and specialty papers very well and I haven't had any that it can't use as of yet...hope that helps some...I'll see about doing a video on your points to help others as well...Great observation...Thanks...

Unfortunately no, it can connect to a PC with a USB Cable but no USB Port to use for prints or anything...and no duplex printing, I'd choose one with both those features next time...
VS Brother MFC-L3770CDW ?
So that's where I'm at.
Wait how's this a review?? I know how to set it up. I want to know about the quality. How are the picture printing qualities, colors etc???
Good Points, I honestly never thought to do this, the print quality is incredibly good, no smudging which of course there shouldn't be, and colors are very sharp and accurately portray the RGB Spectrum in terms of colors...It prints on card stock and glossy papers and specialty papers very well and I haven't had any that it can't use as of yet...hope that helps some...I'll see about doing a video on your points to help others as well...Great observation...Thanks...
@@Reviewing_Playing_and_More_RPM Thank you. Definitely helps. I'm shopping around for a MFC and came across this one. Your video is more of "unboxing and setup". But thank you for replying.
Something else is that this isn't duplex printing, so if you want to print on front and back a slightly different model would work better for you...Thanks...
i like, hi friend
